Anyone have any comments on Patrick MINI's Service Dep't?

I'm purchasing my MINI from Patrick MINI in Schaumburg, IL. I'd Like to know what experiences others have had as far as the service department. Hopefully I won't need them for anything other than regularly scheduled maintenance, but you never know.

I've recently had problems with the service department with another manufacturer so I want to know what I'm getting into.

ps. it was nice to see some feedback about initial purchases from them too.

Thanks in advance.

I suspect you have taken delivery by now but here's my take on the service department so far.

I have been in for service many times now, mostly for my web spoke wheels which are clicking. more on that here . Adam, the SA, is very enthusiastic to help make the visits bearable. However the team working there needs to pay attention to the little details when returning the cars back. I have twice been returned my car with out the valve caps on the wheels. and once they even replaced them with cheap plastic ones.
So a bit of advice would be to remove all the caps yourself and keep them in the car. They gave me the excuse of kids tend to jump the fence and steal them from behind the lot. True or not (probably not) save yourself returning later for replacement caps.

Also sometimes with later pickups they are hesitant to run the car through the car wash. I am persistent but I should not have to ask twice.

Other than those two very minor issues, they have been very helpful and courteous.

Thanks for the info, I'll be visinting tomorrow morning for a quick fix, but not leaving it overnight (hopefully) so I'll just keep an eye on the caps. Clicking on the web spokes? I have the webs. Perhaps you could elaborate? send me a pm if you don't want to type it out here.

More on that clicking here
http://www.mini2.com/forum/wheels-tyres-brakes/94864-calling-all-web-spoke-owners.html
basically after some initial use and consistently hot and humid temps, the two piece wheels loosen up and tend to click at each revolution. Not all web spoke do click but so far, as my luck would have it, I have had all original wheels replaced already and the replacement wheels have already started clicking again.

A good way to see if yours are clicking as well is to drive along the side of a wall, preferably in a quiet area, at a quiet time. Then put down the windows and coast along the wall with your ear out.

its not any gear or brake issue because it happens even as you coast. They actually tested out some s-lites on my car and the clicking wasn't present.

The issue is still under investigation currently by the engineers so I'll post any news on the tread above probably late next week.

Again, not all web spoke wheels click, but once it starts it progressively get worse. If yours click let Adam know but make sure they click at the time you bring it in so he knows what your talking about. I suspect some other service depts have mis diagnosed the problem before.

Hope yours are not clicking.

Two thumbs up for Partick Mini. I had my tensioner replaced and all is well. Brought it in in the morning and was ready by lunch. It was washed as well.
