MINI at Toyota Dealership

Just a little note to say in Dearborn, Michigan,U.S.A. There is a Chili Red Mini at LaFontaine Toyota/Kia/Hyundai. I e-mailed the dealership and asked why they are asking $26,000 for an 18,000 vehicle. The phone reply was "Demand calls for it" as to the warranty they said,"it has full factory warranty, and you can buy extended warranty from us".I asked about warranty repairs only being done at an authorized Mini dealer, The reply was like listening to Charlie Brown's teacher "wah, wah, wah we can work something out"!!! So if your in the Dearborn area and are looking for a Mini that is:$8,000 O/priced,not close to a dealer untill Oct 2002,Questional warranty service/repairs. Have they got a deal for you!!!!!Better hurry only one on the lot LOL LOL

Car dealers are slime

Here in Houston, where there's not even the promise of a future MINI dealer, several Coopers have appeared at various highline lots around town. The greedheads are looking for almost $30K for these cars, and the same warranty/service issues apply. All I can say is, it takes two to tango, so if someone is stupid enough to pay $12K over sticker for a car that will be selling at or below MSRP a year from now, well you are in luck

I wouldn't wait if I were you. My dealer reports that their list now extends until June of 2003 (combined Cooper / Cooper S list). Also recall that "Austin Powers" hits the movie theaters this summer, and every poseur and 16y.o. girl is going to want one afterwards.

Chip H.

BTW: would someone please explain the word "Shag" to them? They all seem to think it's a synonym for "Cool".

Explain 'Shag'.

How about 'Boink, but with feeling'.

Sold the Cooper. Now driving the Traveller. I mean Clubman.
