Welcome on board

Sorry I can't answer your question though, other side of the Atlantic you know

However, from what I've seen in the US, you will be doing pretty well to achieve MSRP without a mark up on that

Still, the flip side is that you should be able to see very low depreciation in the States.

Tigger.

Unless you're in CA, you should be able to get MSRP. But as for below MSRP

Good luck with that. If you get below MSRP, make sure to post it and brag it up to everyone else because I dont think its possible.

I'll be the first to congratulate you.

Well, Neke, I'll accept that as congratulations.
It wasn't a ton off, but I got $600 off!
Car stickered for 23700, and I paid 23100.

The car was ordered just over a week ago, and it will be here mid Sept.

in most cases, it is possible to get discount on the Mini IF you buy from the ones the dealer already have in their lot.

but if you are ordering it to your specs, it may be possible to get discounts but I think it's rare.

well then: CONRATULATIONS.

I do envy you and you must have more mojo than me cause I failed. I called the dealer in Chicago and Detroit and they both told me that the price was to be as configured. Although I did stick it to the man at delivery because I made him give me a free keychain who's tha man!?

Best of drives with your new baby.

My 1st visit to the dealer was during lunch break.
I told the salesman, that this needed to be a quick drive and talk #s, cuz i had to be back within an hr.
After a 15min drive, we sat breifly.
He told me he could do 500-600 off. (right off the bat).
After doing some configuring and doing lease #s i went back.
We wrote up the order. He was going to give me 500, but i told him i was figuring all my financing on 600 off. So he gave it to me. I didnt push cuz he was a real decent guy.
Plus another 100-200 dont mean much on a lease.
But if anyone wanted to come to NY for a car, I'd recommend him in a flash.
I'm sure anyone could get $ off from this dealer. There is barely a wait for cars.
And I did spec mine. Guess I'm just lucky in this situation, cuz I ain't anywhere else.

Even if the dealer says they will sell at MSRP, beware of the $300 'documentation' fee and the $500 'dealer prep'!

Looking at MSRP and Invoice pricing on Edmunds ...

Profile margins on 2005 MINIs are 11%:

Hi Coopercrazy,
Which LI dealer are you talking about? I just got off the phone with Steve at Hassel and he seemed like a nice guy and was willing to move a little off MSRP. What are the LI dealers charging for Dealer Prep? Are there any other crazy add ons?

I didn't even have to pay MSRP for my M3 and now I'm going to really have to work on someone for my girl! This will be so much fun!

Thanks,
Mark
