Offline | Habberstad Mini, Big Thumbs Up - 5wks from order to delivery I've gotta say Habberstad Mini on Long Island were right on the mark. The waitlist for a new MCS in Seattle is 12+ months !!!, naturally I couldn't wait that long so a friend recalled seeing an article in Autoweek about Habberstad Mini and their 6 week wait time. I called them up, gave them my $1,000, they gave me a production number in 1 day !, car was built 7 days later, was on the East Coast 3 weeks after that ! It took them 3 days to put in the JCW and a few other accessories, then on the back of a transporter it went and voila I'm now zigzagging around. Gus made the whole process very smooth, I couldn't have asked for anything more, the whole process was flawless and definitely worth the $1,500 transporter fee to get my car 10+ months ahead of West Coast order times. |

| MINI2 Newbie | Never heard of that one. a 1500 transporter fee????? I almost went to Habberstad but found a great, brand new '05 MINI I liked 'on the lot' at MINI of the Hamptons, in Southampton, LINY. 2 days later I took delivery, no extra fees or associated BS. Can't beat that with a stick! Congrats, & Enjoy your new MINI! gregc |

| Dinan addict | Thats the sexy little number I saw! It got some nice looks by customers and the people working at the dealership as well. It was funny cause I visit them alot over there and when I saw it I walked over to Niel the financial guy there and asked him if that was a dealer stock or an order. After he told me your story I was like DAMN, that long to get a mini over there??? Glad I live in NY!!! I actually got mine at the end of August...I don't exactly remember when yours was sitting there though Prolly around the same time though! So how do you like blackie anyways? |
