Angry Why are dealers so annoying?

My Mini was at the dealer for a replacement radio last week and I spoke to them about the state of the leather on the drivers seat, they were helpful and agreed that it looked pretty bad for a car with less than 2000 miles on the clock and agreed to replace it.

So, they say it will take a couple of days to get the part in and arrange for my Mini to go in today for the new seat. I drop it off this morning and guess what? Just had a call to say they need to order a part which won't be here until tomorrow!!

What is the point of booking customer's cars in if they don't bother to order the f*****g parts?

You've got to understand that that the majority of workers have less understanding of the mini than the average mini2er' !

Mine is booked in tomorrow for the asc/dsc recall, to look at the miismatch in aero side skirt paint colour, and to investigate my faulty pitch sensor. Hopefully it turns out to be a good dealership as this is the first time I will have used them.

Yeh theyve obvoiusly messed up there not ordering your parts but at least they are changing them under warranty, many dealers will fob you off especially on something like seat wear!

Our mini is going for the same thing tomorrow...they've just called to confirm we are still on. Let us know how you get on.

To be honest, I'm not really confident of this as a long term fix so I'm going to see what they can do about upgrading to the new recaro's.

Phil, glad you've got that sorted, I remember seeing your post a while back!

When the mechanic looked at my seat he said that the excessive creasing on the side bolsters was due to the seat not having any metal supports in them, like a more sculpted recaro-type seat so the foam deforms more. Not sure how true that is but guess we'll see...

Still can't believe they book you in before they've got the part, had to take a detour to work today and get my girlfriend to follow me and take me into the office, only to be told my car needs to stay with them overnight!
