I'm actually in Nevada and I was told it took 23 days to ship from the UK to Port H. in CA. Then it is 7 days from then until my dealer gets the vehicle. My status showed as En Route on the 14th but I believe it when on a ship on Dec 12th.

I'm in New Mexico and waiting for a west coast shipment too. I've just been told that I have a January 1st delivery date (at the dealer) so it shouldn't be too long now--it sure seems to be a longer wait for the west coast cars than for those on the east coast!

Anyone on the US west coast have any updates on ships due in to Port H in the next week? I find it is like doing a puzzle to get any info from my dealer.

EDD of Jan 1 bumped back to Jan 9 and then a call from my MA: "Bad news. Your car was dropped at the port and was totalled. I'm terribly sorry!" So what's next? I'm not sure. He's checking with other dealers to see if there's anytihing close to my car that's available . . . there's re-ordering. But I haven't enjoyed that part of the process much and I'm not sure I want to start all over again. So I guess I keep my old car running and see what develops. To MINI or not to MINI--I didn't think it was a question, but I guess it is again.

What were the specs on your Mini?

Cooper, HB/W Cold Weather package,the steering wheel with the controls, sport seats (cloth)-- that's most of it . . .

Well, I reordered my car yesterday. They say they will expedite production (my MA thought that meant starting to build the car next week--we'll see if that really happens) and put the car in the front of the queue. That still means waiting until March or so.

So I'm going to take a break from MINI mania for awhile and then hang out in one of the more recent build group forums. Happy motoring everyone!

My status just went to at the distribution center with delivery date of 1/11/2006.

FINALLY My Precious is in the US! If all goes well I will be picking it up January 19th and then driving it back from Salt Lake, through Death Valley to Reno.

My Precious is scheduled to arrive at the dealer today!!!!! FINALLY

Then I should pick it up next Thurday and immediately take it on a three day road trip home. Fun fun fun!

I will be driving from Salt Lake City to Reno via Deather Valley. Any suggestions of things to see along the way or good Mini roads on the way?
