I've been following my Cooper S's production in the owners lounge since I got my production number in late May and it started off with a on order production date of 7/12. Then it got bumped back to 7/19 and I see today it was bumped back again to 7/26. Are other people finding this normal for the production to keep getting pushed back? I'm barely hanging on here folks, I need my MINI!

If it gets delayed much longer I'll be getting a 2003. Can anyone tell me when the switchover to '03 cars begins? I also read that there will be a 1% to 4% increase in price?

I've been sitting rock solid at a 7/19 build date for weeks. Hopefully in the next few days things will start to progress.

I probably shouldn't mention this, but I had the opposite happen... I was sitting at 7/12 for a while and then it dropped back to 7/5, went from "On Order" to "Scheduled for Production", and I was assigned a VIN. Maybe the changes in production date have something to do with the options/color that are selected??? Maybe they're waiting to get more Liquid Yellow orders before producing any???

I was at 7/12 and then sent cchanges in (added SP) and I moved up to 7/5. Status 152 as of this morning.

I was really hoping to find other people this has happened to so I might feel better. Now I have guys telling me their production dates actually got bumped up!

I started at 7/5, then bumped to 7/19, then up to 7/12, as of today I've been bumped back to 7/19....hope that makes you feel any better Markie (I was sure disappointed to see that this morning). By the way it can't be Yellow because I'm getting DS.

Makes me feel a little better minicoopersgirl. Your case might even be more cruel, they get your hopes up and then they dash them.

Go to www.miniusa.com General and you will find the owners lounge off the menu. As long as you have a production number or VIN number you can follow the progress of your MINI, or in my case lack of progress (or would that be negative progress?).

My S build date was 12JUL02 two weeks ago and was changed to 05JUL02 last week. Dealer confirmed date is still valid and Xenons were a go. And I have a VIN.

Hey General, go to this link (http://www.miniusa.com/link/home) and select the far right option 'Owners Lounge'. If you have a production number, then you can register and track your car status. Also you can go to http://www.2wglobal.com/Global/Root.jsp and under "Cargo Tracking" select AUTO and put in the last 6 digits of yer VIN#. It will tell you when your Mini was booked and the name of the boat. You can then track the boats schedule. It's a bunch of fun and also very stressfull as my mini was meant to be on the boat last week, but for some reason it switched boats and is not scheduled until this week, 4th July and arriving at CA on 29th July. I hope this helps, Limey.

Origninally, 7/5 then bumped to 7/12. Went to Waiting for Production on Friday 6/28. Current status - 150.

Hi everyone... This is my first post, been reading what everyone has to say for quite a while. My car has been pushed back twice now, I started out 7/5 prodution, then 7/12, and now 7/19. I think it is the liquid yellow curse!

I was told by my dealer that I'd most likely be getting an '03, but when I check the owners' lounge, it says '02 and a production date of 08/02/2002. Does anyone know if/when the cutoff for '03 is? I was also told that I'd be getting the auto mirror and wipers, as well as the heated windscreen in the cold weather pack in the '03.

Looks like I'm getting an '02. Xenons are no longer delayed. BUT, I'm not going to get the '03 upgrades (psychic wipers and mirrors) nor will I be getting the heated windscreen in the cold weather pack. However, I won't be paying for any '03 price increase (rumor).

August 2 build date is still steady.

Just got my estimated build date -- 8/2. Hope they stick to it or move it up like has happened to others.

Anyone know once build begins how long it takes and then how long shipping to U.S. East Coast takes? Thanks
