I'd suggest not holding your breath for a VIN. I have a 7/19 production date and to date (7/5) the owner's lounge still shows "On Order", although Ask Mini tells me that things changed to a 112 status (Scheduled for Production)on 6/25.

The next status code i'll move to is 150. The VERY nice girl said that a Production Date of 7/26 actaully means that the car should be FINISHED being produced the WEEK of 7/26. This means that the car should start being made on 7/15! Sweet!

Well, i don't know what to make of this but i'll post anyway:

We have an Exchange folder here at work to discuss MINI stuff and a guy jsut posted today that he had a Production Date of 7/26 and he just went to Awaiting Transport?!?! Wierd....

Mine still says on order?!?! (no VIN). Maybe it's because i ordered mine fully loaded except anything that had an 9/02 available date (HK etc.) =( ?

Yes, according to OL, I've moved to "Scheduled for Production" status and have the VIN. xs1vgamer, did you order a Cooper or an S? So you got the Nav. System? Cool...

I ordered a Cooper. yes, getting NAV too. Thanks for the update. Yeah, i musta checked it about 50 times this weekend, still says On Order. =( It should be about 5am in England now, so i might check later tonight to see of those factory guys are early risers and can get working on my car! =)

Man, i envy you big time, i'm getting heartburn waitng on a status change.

Well, the car is supposed to be moving down the line today for the 7/26 prod date, but so far it's still "On Order". Is anyone else still on order with this date?

It should be 5:30pm in England now, and nothing new to report.

That's ridiculous! I hope it's a mistake or gets resolved soon... Maybe it really is something like the Nav? Maybe it's in short supply? Have you called Ask Mini to get any more explanation?

Yeah, i called them and they jsut said that it's just due to production outputs, they had to modify the date (no specifics).

I did ask about the options effecting it, but he said that hasn't effected it before....

sigh.....

Thankfully, here in Dallas TX, i still haven't seen a single MINI (matter of fact i've never even seen one in real life

), because if i saw one driving around here i think i'd vomit on myself...

Did you get xenon lights? From what I have been hearing there is a shortage of xenon's and that is pushing back the production on cars as they match supplies to cars. Don't feel too bad though, getting pushed backed has happen to many of us. My original build date was 7/12, then it was pushed back to 7/19 and now finally 7/26. I do have a VIN and my status is 150 so I'm going to assume my car will be built sometime next week. The guy at ask mini said it takes about 3 days from the start of production so the worst case the car would be finished on the 31st.

Tic-tac - I guess our cars should be coming down the birth canel about the same time, probably be on the same ship? I can't wait!

Mine has been holding steady at 7/26 for a few weeks (3 I think) haven't dared to check it today as it should have been started on by now.
