Question about the Wallenius Wilhelmsen site

I was tracking my MINI (which is suppose to leave tomorrow from South Hampton) and noticed a * sign beside some of the MINI's vin number. Why? I sure hope mine makes it on the ship!!

I have been able to find my VIN on the boat and it unloads on 2/4. How were you able to see what other mini's were on the boat?

After you look up your MINI's VIN....in all the information on the top, it will show a booking number.....do a tracking with the booking number Ooooo I'm not good at explaining! lol

Hope this helps!

How are you all pulling up this information? I'm not having any luck. I've done this in the past with my 03 MCS, but can't seem to figure it out this time around. D'oh!

Mine now says it's on a waitlist! It better get on that ship!!

dogpaddler...after you go to

http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTrac...trackType=Auto

put in your VIN number.....after that pulls up..at the top you will find a booking number.....and then go here...

http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTrac...okingSearch.do and type in the booking number and it will show all the MINI's that are suppose to be on the ship with yours.

Good luck

I guess I was just being impatient...

Now with my VIN number, I am able to pull up the shipping info. The car is loaded on the Don Pasquale, scheduled to arrive in California on 2/28/2006. Woohoo!

Just found out that my mini was shipped out on 2/5 and due to arrive 2/28 but I don't know the booking number and the vin # doesn't work. What is the booking number for the mini shipment? Then maybe I can work backwards. The official site says it is still waiting shipment but my dealer says it is on the way.

If your car is on the same boat as mine, the booking number is SESTO399047 (I have the same ship and arrival date as you).

I ran into a situation last night where my Cooper S appeared to be loaded but this morning wasn't...

When checking on the Wallenius Wilhelmsen site if your VIN has a "*" after it this might mean it is cued up on the docks and will load on the next available boat and not the vessle that is shown. I re-checked this morning and my Cooper S didn't make it on the Jingu Maru (call letters JPPT) last night (as it was shown yesterday) but instead was bumped and now is scheduled to load onto the Tancred (call letters LALX4) which of course is not even due into Southampton until 14/02/2006. The wait is on again...

Resourceful links again...
1. Go here first, Wallenius Wilhelmsen site
>> http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/cargoTrack.do
and enter click on "Auto Cargo" on the right, then enter your VIN #

After this you can find your "Booking Number", "Vessle Name", "Voyage" (which is clickable) and search by these. If your VIN # has an asterik after it, chances are it is in the port of Southampton, UK but not physically loaded. Don't get cranky, your MINI isn't the only one that has to get loaded...

2. When you find your final Vessles Name, go here to find it's call letters, this will help you track it on the next steps
>> http://www.world-register.net/index/A1.shtml
In my case, it is now the "TANCRED" on the "T" listings, page 3. Call letters are "LALX4"

3. You can try out the Live Radar link of Associated Port of Southampton, UK
>> http://www.southamptonvts.co.uk/radcap.asp just refresh every five minutes or so.

4. Once out to sea, and armed with your Vessles name and call letters, you can try tracking by these resources

Thanks for the booking number. I had only a partial vin # number from the dealer but I was able to find my MINI once I had the booking number. This is my first MINI and I can't wait. Only a few more weeks.

So, did you ever find your car on a boat?

Yes, I found my car on the DP. I am tracking it across the Atlantic. Won't be long now.

United-States Wallenius Wilhelmsen website inaccessible

Is anyone having problems with the Wallenius Wilhelmsen cargo tracking link? I can get to the company's page just fine. Other links work but receive an "Internal Server Error." It's a bit frustrating.

The WW site is up again. Guess they were having server maintenance over the weekend.

United-States Trying to find Baby

I have been to the WW site a number of times to check the shipping status of my baby and the response has been:

No tracking information is available for the Cargo ID you entered

I was wondering if there was another means to watch its travels? Once it hite the ports, is there a means to track it?

That usually means one of 2 things:

1) Your car has not yet been booked by MINI on a WW ship
2) Your car is on a ship but it's not a WW ship

If you know your car made its way to the port, or if you know it's on a boat, and you're sure of the VIN, then if you're getting that message, it's one of the two above. If your car is being shipped by another shipping company (NYK Lines, for example), then it's a bit harder tracking the car as they do not seem to post such detailed tracking information as WW does.

Good luck!
