Just got a call from my MA and he told me my car just changed to status 150 and my limited slip differential addition took place just in the nick of time - that is the good news.

The bad news - he told me that my production date was pushed back to April 25th. He did sound optimistic that I should have the car 3 weeks after that day (not holding my breath on that one though).

So on the sailwx site the last reported day of the Integrity was April 7. Is there some site where I can find a more updated report/image of where the Integrity REALLY is?

Welcome to the MINI family nola! Glad your MINI is getting on its way to you soon. Is there a MINI club in New Orleans that you plan on getting involved with? Don't forget to post your specs .

I didn't know there were local clubs! How do you find them? Is there a Detroit-area club?

Absolutely! Just go to NAM (http://northamericanmotoring.com/) and search for your area. Here is a listing of Mid-West Clubs:

Oops - looks like www.michiganmini.com is down at the moment. In the meantime you can get info at:

http://www.northamericanmotoring.com...splay.php?f=47

I belong to Sunshine MINIs (www.sunshineminis.org) in Florida and we just had an AWESOME meet at Sebring Raceway 2 weeks ago. We all participated in the Phil Wicks Ultimate MINI Driving Academy. Nothing like putting your MINI on the track at Sebring and pushing it to its limits (had mine at about 105mph in the straights). I have to say - my little Cooper hung in there with some of the MCS's and even passed a few. Here is a link to a small video clip of my in-car camera:

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/4...6F5F898328.htm

They also had the second running of the MINI North American Racing Series while we were there - pretty cool stuff.

Take my advice - get involved in your local MINI club. You will meet some AWESOME people and get to see a LOT of different MINIs. I actually met 2 people in my November 2005 Production Group who are now in Sunshine MINIs - what a small world!

Talking MA Says April 27th!

Talked with MA today, and he thinks the latest I will have Baby is April 27th. Its scheduled to get into NJ on April 20th. That would be very awesome

When talking with MA, we set a date to get together and do the financials prior to the car being in the dealership. This way when they get it they can immediately put on the Invisishield protectors, the couple of accessories, and I can get the car sooner. My old self would be reluctant to pay for something that I haven't seen yet, but I also don't want to make many multiple trips to the dealership ( its an hour+ away without traffic - a lot more with ), and this process has been very great so far. Also I've done the same thing in the past with an RV and all went well. Anyone else doing something similar?

Since the 27th is my BDay, I've talked the family into getting me accessories as gifts They already ordered the windscreen from EBay, and car mats from Coopersport.ca - being from the New England I really liked their large cirlce floor mats, and carpeted mats don't work in New England winters well. They are also gonna get me the checkered rear view mirror cover, and air valve tops. Kinda fun dressing up Baby!

Elektra is still cruising along, currently at:

i don't get it; my mini is suppossed to be on the integrity, it's been booked & recieved at the terminal since 4/6 for that ship. But when you go to the W.W site you can see the shipped has sailed & my mini still says recieved at terminal; but most of the other numbers in my group say loaded on vessel.(and the mini site says my mini is on route) I don't get it.

Now you have the joy of discovering why the FAQ on delivery tracking warns "Tracking your MINI may be more stressful than simply waiting for your dealer to call you to come pick it up." Sometimes a little information is more frustrating than none at all.

As for your car's status, if the ship has sailed on your car doesn't have a "loaded on vessel" status, then it was bumped and it's still sitting on the pier. I'm afraid its the same old Southampton crapshoot that we all know and love. They don't seem to follow a strict FIFO (first in first out) policy there, I don't know if they just load whatever's closest to the boat or what. My first MINI was at Southampton for 2.5 weeks, it was booked five times (original booking, then bumped four times) before it finally got on a ship. Cars arrived at the port a week after mine and went right on board, while mine sat on the pier. This time, my car was the one that jumped the queue, it was loaded 16 hours after arriving in port, while others in my booking had been there two weeks and still got bumped. Trying to find rhyme or reason in it is pointless.

So just keep checking, very shortly your car should show up as booked on a different ship, and hopefully you'll make it on this time!
