Thats odd, Clip has been done since this morning (scedualed to be compleeted by today 20th) and it still isnt in the WW system but Arty got his info and was sceduled to be compleeted after me. Is this just how the world works, or is it somthing else im missing?

I got a little carried away tonight and hit the mountain twisties all the way to massachusetts through the Petersburgh pass on Rt. 2... some 60 miles worth there and back These pictures are taken at the dealer as my MA was putting the final touches. Can't figure out if the Elektra dropped everything off yet or not - WW has it completed, but no change in status of my car. Not too much longer now!

Yippie!! Released to Port (southhampton) AskMini says. Completed April 21st.
So far, I've not had any delays. WW site does not have my vin# tracking yet.

Must be in between Oxford and Southhampton. Mine's got to come to the west coast of the U.S.A. which kinda sucks. Long boat ride.

866AskMini says "my car is at the port awaiting a shipping vessel" - does this mean its at the VDC? WW still has not updated any of the 61 cars in my booking number to discharged. If the estimates are right, Elektra isn't supposed to be leaving until 1pm today.

Wallenius just updated me to "discharged" from the Elektra at 11:39 this morning. So the car is now on US soil. Well, not quite, I don't know if anything close to that port counts as soil, more like US landfill. But close enough.

That means 866AskMINI is waaaay behind, it still thinks you're in Southampton. The Elektra has started to unload, yours may be discharged now if you go and check again.

Once your car shows up in the WW system, your page will have a line that says "Booking Number: GBSOU414553". When you go back to the "track by" screen and track by booking number, it will give a list of VINs in that lot...

Yahoo - I'm discharged too now! Funny same 11:39am discharge, our Mini's must be buddies! Now the unknown. I called 866AskMini and talked w a rep, but she said once it leaves the the Southhampton port they really can't track it. Guess I have to bug MA now! Glad to be State side now, even if it is landfill in New Jersey of all places!

I seem to recall somebody saying on here that once your tracking on the OL finally says your MINI is en route, that it gives you an estimated pick-up date. Is that my imagination or is there something? Thanks!

Just got off the phone with friend of MA - dam MA is on jury duty Hopefully he says something inappropriate and gets kicked off the jury, can't have it slowing down the delivery of my Baby! Friend of MA was very helpful. Still have to say that everyone I talk to in Mini, be it in Sales, service, or even 866AskMini they are all very happy and like to help people. Very nice experience. Anyway, friend of MA said a couple of things:

1. when you order a car it gets priority 1 status, meaning it gets priority to get out of the VDC over a normal unsold dealership car.

2. as in every car business the end of the month is ranking time, so there is a lot of incentive to deliver the car before the end of the month. So next Sunday ( Apr 30 ) is the very latest!

3. She promised MA would call me or have more info for me tomorrow when I go and see him to pay for Baby.

I just want the warm fuzzy that as soon as it gets to the dealership they are going to install the options I got, inspect/clean Baby once more, register her, and get her in my hands ASAP! I'd be pretty aggravated if she sits in the dealership for a week waiting for MA to light a fire under people butts while he is on jury duty.

Anyway, happy thoughts - its getting close now, and so far this experience has been great!

Dont Worry when I get some extra time I will upload some pictures of my MINI,

but I was just looking at the Ship Log, and it wont be in Charleston, SC until May 6, and thats where my MINI is going i think... I was kinda hoping I would be able to get my MINI by May 5th, maybe they will drop it off in NY 4-30 and book it to MN just for me

this wait sucks even more now knowing the car is built and is on its way

Not just you imagination, once you're en route they typically fill in an estimated pick-up date of about a week after your ship is due to arrive (at least that's the typical timing for people buying from east coast dealers, I don't know if they put the estimated delivery date as a week and half or two weeks after docking if the dealer is in the midwest or some such thing...). My car was unloaded in NY/NJ today (4/21), owners lounge currently says it's estimated arrival at the dealer (Latham NY) is 4/28...
