Hopefully you can get a production number or something similar, the dealers in the US get a daily print-out of the status of their allotments and coresponding status. Call your dealer, he/she should be able to give you something

I ordered my Convertible 5/3/06 and have been given a Production Number of
1745XXX can this be correct? I was told it would start being built first week in April. How do we work the www.miniusa.com site to get the status?

PS. Wheres the Madeirense flag???

Well I guess production numbers aren't in consecutive order then...

Still waiting for the production number from my dealer - my personal sales rep is away training.

In the UK each dealer is allocated a certain allocation of MINIs per month, for example 10 Ones, 2 One D's 15 Coopers 1 CooperS Convert!!! So I wonder if each one of those allocations has already got a production number - hence the strange order of numbering ?

Anyone in the know able to enlighten us??

Hi Madeira Jon,

I don't believe that European production numbers will work in the US system. Hopefully your Motoring Advisor will be able to give you more information. Good luck.

More news from the dealer yesterday.

Unfortunately still no prodcution number, but an expected delivery date to them of 7th April. Yipeee

I may have to pop over on the 7th to see if I can get a predelivery peek at her (or him).

do you guys generally know how long it takes from production day to delivery. I ordered a mini over the weekend and the dealer said it would be with them around the middle of May. Will this be april or may production group??

It all seems like a Harry Potter film with the dark arts operating between the order day and the delivery day.

No one seems to know whats happening except the dealer. I have no production number, but a eta of 7th April. A couple of weeks ago I wasn't supposed to go into production until the 3rd.

Confused - you will be by May

Ah well, at least its an earlier delivery, much better than being delayed.

I havent got a production number yet, but once i have that is there anyway of actually checking the order process other than speaking to the dealer?

Not for us here in the UK, we are reliant on the dealers.

However, this may not be a bad thing, as from what I have seen in other threads the US online tracking isn't updated as often as we'd like to see. When ever I speak to my dealer he is able to check the order online - well thats what it sounds like o nthe phone, for all I know he could be tapping random keys on the keyboard to make it sound good

Thought I should join in. Ordered mine on 03/05/2006. My dealer told me that I can pick up my baby either next week or the first week of April. Just checked with MiniUSA, it showed up as "awaiting transport", so excited........

Wow! That's a quick turnaround. Being in Massachusetts, did you order from Herb Chambers or Peabody? My dealer put an order on 03/08 and it's still listed as being scheduled for production with no specific date.

Meteora, not that I want to kick you out of our group, but [lucky for you] you must be a March production if you can pick up your car in the next 2 weeks. If it is awaiting transport you can try to track the ship. I know there are several people on the March thread who are at that stage now. Check out that thread, they've got some good info. You might even find your MINI's shipmate

Drop back in and show us a picture when you get your baby!

I ordered mine from Peabody. I don't really know the specific date either, but I read from "March production" group that the website will always have 72-96 hours delay

So please be more patient, and if you can check your owner's lounge three or more times a day like me if this will make you feel better.
