The Elektra was due to arrive in NYC on 4/20 and depart on 4/21. It arrived on time and my car was discharged from the ship at 11:39am on 4/21 (within the 4/20-4/21 window). It arrived at my dealer (Keeler) on 4/26 and I picked it up on 4/27...

Just found out that the Franconia (the KLine ship my car is on) is scheduled to dock 4 days early on May 7th!!

For those that want to check when their cars are scheduled to arrive in SC, check out this link and search for your ship's name:

I was on the Integrity which unloaded on April 29. The delivery date has now been pushed back twice. (which sucks a lot because you get so excited for one thing, then it changes.... grtrrr) As of today - which was different than yesterday - they are expecting it to arrive on Monday. We'll see..... I won't get my hopes up this time!

Announcing the delivery of my '06 PH/W MCS!

Calla Lily (Lily for short) was delivered on timeThursday evening 5/4/2006 at Classic MINI, Mentor OH. She had all her ordered parts, fingers and toes and a cute name tag on her that said "Hi, I'm Lily and I'm going to my new home today".

We told them that we were starving and wanted to go to dinner, so they gave us a card for complimentary dinner at this great nearby restaurant called Yours Truly. It was yummmmy and the KENTUCKY Pie was to die for! Way to go Classic! We drove south and this morning toured the Longaberger Basket factory and homestead www.longaberger.com We even made our own baskets...pictures to come. We drove through Ohio and WV today, ate at a Cracker Barrel Restaurant for some comfort food and now we're in Virginia about 2 hours from the DRAGON!!! We start out early tomorrow morning so we can get there ASAP. The weather is supposed to be pretty nice, so a great time should be all but guaranteed. Can't wait to show Lily off!

I chose the name Lily because I saw some pictures of a spectacular Calla Lily that was deep purple with it's graceful sweeping lines and it was a perfect fit. Skatedaughter had suggested the name Lily sometime ago, but I wanted a "C" name, then I saw the Calla Lily pictures, and that was it.

When I get more time, I'll post pictures, it's pretty late and we're getting up early.

For all of you waitng for your cars, hang in there. It is SO worth it!

but now the est. delivery date dissapeared

Odds are it's just a system burp. The delivery dates start to get flaky when you get that close. My delivery date was 4/28 while it was in transit, then once it got to the VDC it was changed to 4/24, but then it didn't actually arrive at the dealer until 4/26. Ad of the early hours of 4/28, by which point it had left the VDC, been delivered to the dealer, been collected by me, and been driven back home, the Owners Lounge still had it in "at VDC" status with an estimated delivery date of 4/24. Eventually, with the gift of 20/20 hindsight, the Owners Lounge updated to "at your dealer" with a delivery date of 4/26. At this point, your dealer will be by far the most accurate news source. Your torture should be over soon...

Hey everyone! I just joined the Mini2 community and I'm in the process of waiting for my 06 MC (yay!). The only problem I have encountered thus far is that the OL is telling me that my car is at the VDC but 1-866-MINI is telling me that it is "at the port awaiting a shipping vessel." I'm not exactly sure what this means but it sounds like the automated response that I would be getting if my car were just leaving England (which I know it isn't)...I figured that one of you nice people here might be able to shed some light on this cryptic message. Thanks in advance!

First off - welcome to the club

. What I would do is call 866ASKMINI and speak to a customer relations rep. and give them your production number. They can tell you if your car is still waiting at the port or if it actually did get on a ship and when it did. If your car got on a ship more than 2 weeks ago, it is at the VDC at the very least (if not heading to your dealer). The OL is totally out of date as they only update it every once in a while.

I have week 16 2006 production MCS, production code 707. Both the OL and ASKMINI auto system has my vehicle at the port waiting for a vessel.

Order Date: April 3, 2006
Build Completion: April 24/25, 2006.

Emailed my MA and asked if any new news yet... and this is the reply....

Looks like it got on a ship yesterday!!!!! I would plan on next week mid
to end.

My MA was telling it was on the FREEDOM and that I would have it end of this week, or early next week.... this makes me frustrated....

No offense but it looks like your MA does not have a clue. If your car got on a ship yesterday, it is at least 2 weeks to get to the VDC and then another 4-7 days to get to your dealer. Do yourself a favor and call 1-866-ASK-MINI and ask to speak to customer relations. They can tell you when in fact your car got on a boat.

That means your car is not on a WW ship and is on KLine. Trust me - call 866ASKMINI.

I am betting that 866ASKMINI will tell you that your car was put on a ship on April 28th. If that is so - your car is on the KLine ship FRANCONIA and is scheduled to dock in Charleston, SC on May 11th according to:

IF this is the case, then the MA is making more sense in saying that it will be another week and a half or so...
