Offline | I couldnt wait till next week to get my MCS, so I drove the only MINI we have in town, it was a 2004 MCS, it had like no options, and the "tag" price was way to spendy, but now i really want my MCS, after i left the dealership, i wanted to go back and drive it again... but didnt want the salesman to get annoyed with me, just to test drive it again... but only a few days till i get my MCS, so how bad could it be? The 2004 didnt have DCS, so it was fun squeaky the tires, so i think the first thing i'll be doing when i get my mini is to turn dcs off ![]() THe drive was fun, but guess it didnt help that i'm still feeling a buzz from last night ![]() but now the hangover is starting to kick in ![]() just have to wait till next week, just a couple of days... |

Offline | well i picked up my mini friday, i just can't believe it's mine! i just keep staring at it, it's so pretty. Now i'm just trying to figure out what are the best cleaning products for the glass, black paint & leather and what are good things to keep in the car to have on hand. Any advice I'd love!!! If you haven't gotten your car yet, hang in there it's worth the wait ! |

Offline | I have loved using the Mr. Clean Car Wash system - really does a nice spot-free job. For the inside I try to stick to just water and avoid chemicals. A detailer friend of mine said the less chemicals you use inside the better so as not to dry out the materials. Not sure how much of that is true - but it has worked for me . |

Offline | OK, it just occured to me that I never posted any pics of Lily once I got her. Between the 6 days of travel, driving the Dragon, getting back home and the craziness that goes with that. I neglected my duties. Here I was telling everyone to post their pics and I forget Captions: At the dealership, stopped for dinner, at a restored Mobil station in Shamrock, TX and at home with all the bugs all over her So without further delay.... Here's Lily EDIT... OK so there's some delay. Where'd my pictures go? Offline | Nola, Congrats on getting your MINI! Perma-grin is nice huh? As for the interior, I've only used a damp cloth on the plastic bits inside. Our '04s still look great...comparing them to the brand new '06. My polish of choice is Zaino. Some people swear by Meguires, but I started with Zaino and I'm not going to change. http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc I don't have leather, so I can't advise you there. Have fun with your new baby. Did you post pics? Offline | I am guessing the truck had to make quite a few stops along the way which is why it took that long. Regardless - Thursday is great! I am sure you will not be getting much sleep between now and then. I spoke to my MA yesterday and he said my car was checked-in to the VDC. Since it is only a 12 hour drive from South Carolina, I am hoping to get my car this week as well . |

Offline | So I think I got thrown a line of bull today, I called my MA today because she said to call every day once the boat docks. I did but my MA had the day off and I got the Customer service/Finace guy, he told me that the previous boat that docked last month had not been unloaded yet and to not expect mine to show up for at least that much time from now. Now that I've spent a few hours thinking about it I beleive he is trying to flex his control muscle over me, for what reason, I dont know. Has any one had to wait a month from when the boat docked to when they picked up their mini? Do you think Cooper or BMW would allow this to happen? Im sure they put customer orderd vehecles at the front of the line when at the VDC. Or am I wigging out over nothing? Thnaks for letting me vent, now I can sleep. |

Offline | Now that guy should be on stage at the Improv because he is hysterical. A month to unload the boat? Anyone who has a web browser can go to the KLine or WW site and see that is not so. What an idiot telling you that crap. |

Offline | Just got off the phone with my MA and he said a truck of cars just came in and mine would have been on it had it not been for the aero kit install. He said my car will be on the next truck they get which should be here possibly by this Saturday. Only issue is that if it comes in over the weekend, I have to wait until Monday for them to install my ipod adapter and aux port. Oh well - at least it will be less than a week . |

Offline | That sounds kinda fishy to me. I know of some other people that were on a boat that unloaded on 4/28 and they picked up their cars like a week after that. I do know that the boat had to wait around for a few days before they could get to unload but not weeks. I would not wig out just yet.... ![]() '06 HB/S MCS-JCW |
