The dealership is 90 min away, and before I left yesterday I called and made sure they recieved everything... And apparently they didnt know my Bank Mailed them my Check... The bank and the dealership are 15 min appart, and the bank said they mailed it on Tuesday, and the dealership said they didnt recieve anything yet (Had to look thru their mail for like 10 min.) So I was a little upset....

I just hope that they get it today, my MA is going to call me today to tell me if they recieved it or not in the mail....

Now I have to figure out a new ride situation, since I no longer really have one....

Dang Arty!! Thankfully I made arrangements with my bank to pick up the draft from them today so I have it in hand in case I get the call this weekend. Can your bank cancel the original and let you pick it up in person?

We thought it would be easier just to have them mail it, since they are in the same city, and if i went to go get it, thats another like 30 min drive for me...
But I guess if i really wanted them to cancle it, I could make them, but as of right now... it is a big hassle for that....

I just hope it gets here today, and that I HAVE a ride there...

Have to wait till Noonish when they get the mail... it just better be there...

Did you at least take a test drive of your car? Snap some photos?

Well, since I called before I left my house, I didnt feel like driving 90 minutes to test drive my baby and then leave and not leave with it, which would make me miss my MINI even more. But I will get some pictures up soon, as long as i get my MCS soon

What time you getting your MINI MCT? know yet?

According to my MA, my MCS was released to the carrier yesterday the 18th. The weird parrt is that the estimated date to arrive at the dealer is Monday the 22nd. 4 days to travel 12 hours is crazy. My MA said that sometimes the truck drivers take days off even if they have a loaded truck so who knows. He said it would not surprise him to see my car arrive today or tomorrow. At least Monday looks like my worst-case scenario. Gonna be a long weekend if that is the case LOL.

Sure hope things work out today for you Arty. I would have been livid myself.

YES!!! So busy driving yesterday and then going to the bars what a good day
didnt really get a chance to take alot of pictures, but a took a couple so i could put some up for you folks... Enjoy!!!

Another thing, my MA told me to not go over 4k RPM and stay under 90 for the breakin period until 1200 miles, does this sound usual?

Any new news yet MCT about your baby?
Another thing i need to do now is wash my baby, she is full of bugs... I just about broke 100 miles , but I will probably add another 200 this weekend

wow! That looks really nice Arty! I know what you mean about the bugs, I'm sure my MINI attracts far more of them than my last car!

I got told this too. Mine's a month old tomorrow (It's gone so quick! ) and I have clocked just over 730 miles. Not bad considering my daily commute is only about 18 miles in total Lots of playing at the weekends

I hope you enjoy your new car, it looks fab!

Congrats Arty!!!!!!!!!

FINALLY you have your MCS . Car looks awesome. The break-in is actually for 1250 miles according to the owner's manual. Not sure the last 50 miles will make a difference though LOL. Here is the exact wording from the manual:

"To ensure that your vehicle provides maximum
economy throughout a long service
life, we request that you comply with the
following information:

Engine
Up to 1,250 miles / 2,000 km:
Drive at varying engine and road speeds,
but do not exceed the following engine or
road speeds:
4,500 rpm or
95 mph / 150 km/h.
Comply with the local speed limits.
Absolutely avoid putting the accelerator in
full-throttle or kickdown position.
After having driven 1,250 miles / 2,000 km,
engine and road speeds can be gradually
increased.

Tires
Due to technical factors associated with
their manufacture, tires do not achieve
their full traction potential until after an
initial break-in period. Therefore drive carefully
during the first 200 miles / 300 km.

Brake system
Approx. 300 miles / 500 km must be driven
before the brake pads and rotors achieve
the optimum pad-surface and wear patterns
required for trouble-free operation
and an extended service life.

Clutch
Roughly 300 miles / 500 km must be driven
before the clutch starts to operate at optimum
efficiency. Remember to engage the
clutch carefully during this initial period."

As for my MCS - I spoke with my MA today and he said a truck came in but it was not done unloading yet and he did not know if my car was there or not. He is supposed to call me back to let me know. Patiently waiting the call.........

Its okay MCT, Monday is TOMORROW!!!

So far I LOVE my MCS, but it is hard not to baby it all the time during the break in period. So far I have, but i just want to punch it and take off, but only 1000 more miles left to go

My car is really dirty right now too... Think I might wash it today, maybe tomorrow when it's nicer out. We'll see... Or I think i'll just drive around

Just checked in with my MA and my MCS has not arrived yet. He said as long as it gets here by 2pm today I should be able to pick it up later. If not, will have to wait longer...

My MCS has arrived

Just got word that my car arrived at the dealer. Only one problem - the mechanic who is supposed to get the car ready is super busy today and won't be able to get it done today . Looks like I have to wait until tomorrow night now . Oh well - at least it is here. My MA said it is the nicest looking MINIs he has seen (said the aero kit makes it look gorgeous). I ordered the fog light black-outs which will take another week to get in, but he wants me to look at the car first to see if I really want them. I am going to try to swing by there later and check it out. Will report back later . Am I the last one in our group still waiting for their car?

You think your doing well, my commute is 4 miles across town, and I've just past the all important 1250miles mark - not bad for 40 days of ownership
