My mini ended production yesterday and is en route to the southampton port. Hoping to catch a ride with Liberty (April 7) or Manon (April 9). Who here is going to accompany my mini?

My Baby is in the Body Shop and is going to be completed by April 7th, so with any luck I'm hoping its gets on the Manon, but if not the Elektra (April 11). Have you checked the WW web site to see if its been booked yet? Can't wait to get her hopefully near the end of April. I included a picture of her - isn't she cute, with a Supercharger to boot, - Ya BABY!

My MINI has been at the dock since Monday the 3rd. My VIN doesn't come up on the WW site so I don't know what ship I'll be on. Hoping for the Liberty!

Yippee - it's arrived at the dealers today.

Apparently it's caused quite a stir and considerable interest. It's the first car they've ever had with the Recarro seats in all the years they've been selling the MINI.

Bet it ends up in the showroom between now and Monday

Woo-Hoo!!!

I placed my order late friday (March 31st) for my 2006 MCS-JCW. My MA ordered my MINI on monday and I got my production number on wednesday. Estimated production is week 16 (last week of April).

Here are my Specs:

MCS-JCW
Hyper Blue/Silver w/silver bonnet stripe (v-shaped)
Cordoba Leather Interior w/handbrake/gear shift covers
Piano Black Dash
Premium & Sport (w/Web Spokes)
Chrono Pack
Driving Lights
JCW Indicator

Now the waiting begins. This is almost 5 years in the making. I have been in love with the MINI since it was introduced (or re-introduced I should say) at the Paris Auto Show in 2000 (not that I was there). I live in San Francisco and have been to the SF Auto Show every year and spent hours in the MINI booth. I purposely never went to a MINI dealer because I knew that I would want one. But when I heard that they are changing the '07 models, I knew that I had to act fast. It has been an adventure dealing with our wonderful California MINI dealers for the last month.....

Completely agree. I've not been smitten quite as long...maybe 2 years (the Italian Job caught my interest) but there was a place in my heart wanting a small nimble car since the mid-1980s before I had a license...I've considered MGs, Alfas, Fiats, Porsches and such for years and when I saw our little Coopers the last few years I fell hard. I almost bought it last year but had to wait, and soon that wait will be over.

Congrats on your order. I'm placing mine in the next week or so for the same reason. I love the classic mini look we have right now, and I'm not going to wait for them to mess with it in '07. PW/B MCS ready to roll. Sooo ready.

She is in the paint shop today, still scheduled to complete tomorrow. Hopefully the robots don't go out drinking tonight - want to make sure the engine is put on the right end, though a rear engine Mini would be cool too!

One can hope the logjam at SouthHampton clears up and she leaves on the Elektra on Tuesday. Haven't heard good news about anyone's car boarding in the last week or two, seems like people are freaking out in the March group.

Here's to wishing they all make it on the Liberty or Manon, and free up the Elektra for Baby

Anyone get their's on a ship yet, and found out through the WW site? How long did it take from end of production?

Good news! My VIN fnally showed up today on WW site as being booked for Liberty Booking number is: GBSOU41455. The status is "Received at Terminal". Production of my mini ended the 3rd. Hopefully our cars don't suffer from waiting at the port like others have.

Congrats! Your the first shipping good news I've seen. Clean out SouthHampton - load em up boys for the trip across the Pond! Wow, that was only 3 days waiting time, I really do have hope for the Elektra, or maybe the Manon if the weekend is slow.

Yay nilo, we're on the same ship!!! My car was complete on 4/2 and showed "recieved at terminal" on 4/4. I'd originally checked schedules and the Liberty was supposed to sail on the 8th but I see its been moved up to the 7th, arriving in NJ a day earlier than I'd originally seen! Yipeee.

I could possibly time this delivery to make the DRAGON! Drive south out of OH into NC for the Dragon May 4-6

That would be great to have our first run as the DRAGON!

My MCS was completed on the 4th, and now it's booked on the Liberty! Scheduled to depart the 7th (tomorrow!!) and due to arrive in Charleston in just over 2 weeks. I can't wait!
