Well it looks like all of us booked on the Aida will have to wait a bit longer. It has been delayed . It is now schedueled to arrive 7/26 instead of the 7/22 .I guess a bit more of a wait wont kill me as long as it makes the ship.

What a let-down
I think I'm beyond anger now. The only thing that would make me feel better is if the Takasago sank. It would legitamize being bumped. Sometimes I do feel that another week will kill me.
Missing my buddies Dan, Ed, and Diane but glad I have three angel buddies, And on a quest to Right Secco's Wrongs
My MINI missed the Takasago, but was rebooked for the Otello, which it's now aboard.
On about Wednesday the 'Voyage' on my 'Cargo Status' page changed from the old Takasago to the Otello... but no 're-booked' line item appeared in my history. Check up top under your voyage to see if it's been updated to the Aida yet.
Good luck man.

Hijlivingood ,
I do have a booking # for the AIDA but not loaded as of yet because its still out at sea () . Hope I do not get burried behind new arrivals, my car has been sitting there for a bit and many new cars are arriving, hope they go first in first out !
If this helps it will be Voyage # EA229-AID .
Some of you have been waiting at the dock a long time, it seems. I'm a new arrival at Southampton dock (W&W's site says I arrived today at 14:42 UK time). I was built just three or four days ago, so that's pretty darn quick. I have a booking number on Aida, too. We'll see whether we all get aboard.
Hope you long-time waiting folks get on, anyway--I'm sure they'll load the earlier arrivals at the dock first (unless perhaps there's something wrong with a car that has to be fixed first).
Note how I have deeply identified with my car!

Got an update from WW customer service. All of the people in booking ID GBSOU88296 that missed the Takasago should be added to the new booking ID GBSOU88296A. Right now only 2 cars show up in that ID so I would guess their system is lagging by several days.
My car has been confirmed by both MINI and WW to be a part of this booking ID and, barring an unusual situation (not out of the question) I should be loaded onto the Aida. By the time it leaves I'll have been in port for 3 weeks so I sincerely hope I make it onto the boat.
Also, the Aida is behind schedule due to a 4 day delay at the first port of call, in Bremerhaven, Germany, according to WW. I don't expect we'll see any further delays now.
Aida arrives in Southampton in 3 days.
Now... How do we figure out the Aida's call sign and where it is located in the ocean at any given time to track progress?
Also, anyone have the link to the local Southampton shipping newspaper site?

Thank you for signing my rear fog light petition. Now we have rear fogs! :-)
Hit the FAQ button above. The last item in the FAQ talks about spotting your ship at sea. I've had no luck, however, spotting the Otello.
As for the newspaper. I don't have the link anymore, but if you go to www.yahoo.com and type in southampton newspaper, you'll see a link for the Daily Echo. Left hand margin of that page has a shipping link.
Good luck getting aboard!

so if our booking number is GBSOU85206C now for the Aida & was GBSOU85206B on the Takasago, onto which it was apparently never loaded, do we have any hope that it will indeed be on this next sailing of the Aida ? does this jive with what you've been told Jason ?
funny about that picture of the ship - there is a model downstairs here at work on the top of someone's desk near the mailroom that looks just like it. it must be shipping people down there as there are several ship models visible. I'll look closer to see which ship it actually is a model of.
