Anyone else out there, or did they fire up the line only for me? Went status 152 (Paint Shop) today, no need to worry about the color choice anymore. Mine is heading to North Carolina via Charleston how about yours?

Welcome to the world of Mini!!! I'm honored to reply to your first post.

I looked at Winston, but the wait was too long for the S, not as long as some on this board, but 8 to 10 months. I went with Greenville SC.

First dealer was next March, then Mini Westchester offered me this October. They then called and said if I skiped the auto wipers, I could have first September, then August build.

Bling!

8/2 build became 8/9 which became 7/26! (I feel like a pin ball)

Man o man o man o man, I can't wait. I wonder if I can go pick it up and fly the baby home. I have a lot of frequent flier miles...

I couldn't resist and called ASK MINI yesterday afternoon and was told my car now is at status 153 - assembly started. To think my baby is coming down the birth canel!!!!

If they can get the car to Southhampton by the 30th there is a ship leaving that will arrive in Charleston, SC on the 14th. Otherwise I will have to wait until August 11th with a arrival of the 21st. It's fun tracking and planning...or is that dreaming.

From what I have heard you can add about another 2 weeks once it reaches the east coast.

Lets do that Pack Square thing!! They have quite the crowd out there the 3rd Friday of the month with a live band and beer. Never pass up the opportunity to drink beer in public

Smokey4, I'm at 155 as of today, too. Guess now we'll have to start wearing out the WW site.

Got a feeling the next few weeks' wait may seem longer than all that have come before.

BTW, Smokey4, have those folks in G'ville given you notice as to whether you'll be paying more than MSRP?

Yeah, I spoke with my dealer this morning and he assured me I'd be paying only MSRP with no add-ons or 'forced accessories'.

He was aware that some dealers are charging as much as 15% on top of MSRP.

Checked the WW site and my car has been booked on the Fidelio and received at terminal. The Fidelio should have left port already according to the original shedule which was 7/28 but still doesn't look to have left. The Fidelio was scheduled to arrive in Charleston on 8/8. Checking the booking number it looks like my car will be in the company of 208 of its brothers.
