Fidelio where are you?

My MCS was supposed to load up on the Fidelio in Southampton yesterday. The WWL hasn't updated yet and I'm a little concerned. The WWL site said my MCS was booked and received at terminal, but nothing else. Is there another way to find out whether it got on the ship or not?
Thanks

I was supposed to ship out on the Aida on Saturday, but I'm in the same situation as you MCSGirl. You can get some good information on the shipyard process (specific to the Aida, but applies to everyone) bu looking at this link . The more interesting items (pictures of Minis being loaded, etc) are towards the end of the thread.

YEAH!

Congratulations (mumble, grumble). I'm still not showing any progress, just booked on a ship that left 2 days ago.

I'm on the Fidelio too - the boat is on the water according the the oceanweather tracking site (in the FAQs), hopefully the "loaded on vessel" part is true!

R53W11 - do you know what the call sign/number is for the Fidelio. I would like to track it across the Atlantic

Pamlico - sorry to hear about the troubles. It will all work out in the end, I'm sure

MSCGirl I believe the Fidelio is WQVY. The WW site shows my S onboard as of yesterday but the fidelio was supposed to get underway on sunday. Fingers crossed that I am actually aboard. Last check showed us about 600nm west of england

That was based on an observation almost 9 hours ago. so based on an SOA of about 12 kts it should be about 84 miles closer right now. Yes I have nothing better to do.

Are you looking at oceanweather.com? If so, are you looking at the Current Marine Data? If so, which location are you finding WQVY at? For some reason I cannot find it.

Yes, Just looked again and they are not on the screen. they were in the far left corner of the small block that covers england. the current observation page had them at 50.54n and 017.54w. That would have put them 3509.85 give or take 100 miles from Charleston. Since the page is based on reported observations it will probably be spotty for the middle of the transit.

The Fidelio was at 50.48N and 031.42W at 12:00z today. If you look on the ocean weather site go she is in the big box to the north. if you follow the line up from 30 and over from 50 you will find the blob from her observation. To put it in better terms she was 2721.85 miles out of Charleston about 6 hours ago and getting closer every minute. We estimate she is making about 19.5 knots which is pretty impressive for a Car Carrier.

The ship won't always be visible on the oceanweather site - it updates and I think only the latest ships to report are shown - you just have to be lucky and catch it at the right time. I saw it Monday and Tuesday but never saw it today and I checked 8-9 times! ...maybe it sank!

coopeR i think that it just a time distance thing. Those ships only go so fast

One of the guys here pointed out a mistake in my calculations. I was working in statute miles and not nautical miles. We figure the Fidelio is making about 17.4 kts and is currently less than 2000 miles from port. Hopefully they will submit a weather report soon.

Ok - before I was just kidding about it sinking...now I'm starting to wonder - I haven't seen Fidelio report since Tuesday! Anyone see it within the last 2 days?

Yeah it is a shame really, I checked the path it takes on the WW website and it stops at a lot of ports before it finally gets here.

I have been waiting for this little car since the relese day I attended.
