Hey Catalyst,

Nice color choice, we're pretty close in other options too.
Except for the wheels and sun roof we could be twins !!

I assume we are in the same waiting game as well, waiting to clear the VPC and head home to the dealer for pick up !

Hope you get yours soon, Motor on !!

JimMini -

Obviously you have discerning tastes!

Since my Cooper is now only in its 8th day of sitting on the dock, it's clear that you'll have yours well before me!

Be sure to post some pics of that Pepper White beauty - I've never seen one in person, and the car photographs quite differently in dfferent lighting.

Catylst........ I have yet to see a Pepper White in person either ! Through the forums I have been able to find a lot of pics, but as you say it looks different in difference lights, but I'm condfident we've made the right choice and we'll have a classic looking MINI !

I’m still waiting.

Still waiting StanMINI, thanks for asking. As of this morning my status in the OL changed to at the Distribution Center. The dealer told me last Thursday that my car had cleared the VPC and was expected to arrive Monday or Tuesday. It’s Wednesday and still no car. I threatened to move into their showroom yesterday and campout until it arrives. I can’t believe this has been such a frustrating experience.

I wrote a complaint message to the CEO of BMW NA
yesterday via Planetfeedback.com. I’m sure that he has bigger things to worry about, but I figured that if enough of us complained it might cause them to look at the situation and save other MINI lovers
from the same frustration in the future.

Congrats, Pamlico! I saw a DS/B MCS heading West on I94 at around Eau Claire, Wisconsin, on my way back from Minneapolis to Indianapolis on Monday. Sweeeeeeet wheels.

Well, it sounds like things are starting to break loose. I know I couldn't have been much more frustrated when the car was stuck on the dock. In fact, I transcended frustrated and went right on in to angry. However, once things started to move it seemed like the dealer data was pretty accurate. I would bet you will have your car in a day or two. Good Luck.

It's at the dealer . . .

You're right - it looks like the cars are finally beginning to flow to the dealers. Mine arived today! They indicated I should be able to pick it up on Saturday. I was beginning to wonder if this day would ever arrive . . .

No wonder it took so long to get here if they truck things to Buffalo by way of Eau Claire.

We're picking it up late tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon.

(.....and black is the proper color for DS)

Hey everybody! After coming in from my business trip on Friday, I expected that my MINI would be at the dealer or close by. But, as my luck would have it, there was no change and it looked like I was still on the dock. My dealer (Crown MINI in Richmond) called the dock to find out what was going on. I talked to the dealer late yesterday afternoon and they gave me the same bottleneck story. I was terribly frustrated and almost bought an S they had sitting on the lot. I decided to call ASKMINI to see what their story was, and low and behold, my MINI had cleared the VPC and was loaded on the truck!!! It should be in Richmond tomorrow and I should be able to pick it up by Friday afternoon or at the latest, on Saturday!!! I can't believe that it's almost here and my wait is almost over. I'll keep you all posted because after all we've been through, I won't believe it until I'm sitting my butt behind the wheel.

Same here. Arrived at dealer (Peabody, MA) Tuesday late in the day
Only hitch is they say they can't release it until the "certificate of origin" arrives. Also, AAA won't cut a check until they have all info. and dealer won't release info. to Insurance Co. and AAA Financing until the certificate of origin is in their hands. Naturally this is Labor Day weekend coming up so delivery could be put of til next Tues.
I wonder if I can just write a check for it and then have AAA cut the check to me?
Congrats to all those who have endured this long (bumped from three vessels, in UK port 29 days, in US port 14 days, etc.)

Delivery and Pick Up

Hi all...

We are finally seeing some good activity!! My MINI was shipped from VPC yesterday to the dealer in Hartford, Hopefully it's there now, but today is my sales reps day off... So I have no word on it.

Can anyone who has taken delivery explain the pickup process with regard to the MINI arriving from truck carrier and paper work that soon follows?? Title not shipped with cars, etc??

Would love to try and pick it up Saturday, but not sure it can be prepped or "paper worked" in time...

My baby has arrived.

My dealer e-mailed me this morning to say that my car is in. I am picking it up at 9:00 am tomorrow.
I can’t beleive it is finally here. I don’t think that I will really beleive it exists until I can touch it.

I hope all the other folks who’s cars came over on the Hudson Leader will see their babies soon.
