Hudson Leader - Page 5 - MINI2

I'm assuming with the rest of you good folks on the Hudson Leader, that this morning when I checked the OL, my MINI has been listed as En Route with an estimated delivery of 8/21. I'll take delivery in Richmond, VA. What about the rest of my shipmates?

You have to love MINI USA. They have the audacity to say they have the most up to date info and then tell you are enroute the same day you dock in Nova Scotia.

I was also updated today and my delivery date is 8/17. I wonder how they figure. Based on the averages to get to VPC and out of VPC it seems like that could take a week or so and then they have to truck it off to Kansas. I hate to get my hopes up, but that would be sweet. Maybe this is where they try and process the earlier production dates first and reassert the FIFO type equity into the process.

MINIUSA finally has me on the Hudson Leader due in NY on 8/12. Can't say when I'll take delivery. Depends on the length of stay on the dock, VPC, and at the dealer. I'm already bugging the dealer 'cause I'd like to take it on a road trip we're making August 23.

Same with me as well. Updated to "En Route" this morning.

Estimated delivery of 8/23 and I'm picking up the car in Buffalo, NY (about 425 miles from the VPC).

Hey stanMINI you're in Kansas and got a delivery date of 8/17 ?? Grrrrr.

Yep, just checked the OL and I'm En Route with an est. delivery date of 8/17 in Philly. That would be nice, but I don't have my hopes up just yet...

Production date was 7/19, but was actually completed on 7/15 (according to MiniUSA).

You shouldn't feel to bad. Gary Tate had the same build date as I did and he has been driving his car for weeks. Grrrr. Of course, we are all happy for our friend Gary, right!

StanMINI and Pamlico and all!! My production date was 7/19, but I think I was actually finished on 7/18 - that's what MINIUSA says anyway! Time is getting shorter now!

Hey Shipmates...

I was also updated today by MINIUSA to "En Route", with an estimated delivery of 8/21 to New Country Motors in Hartford, CT. When I called ASKMINI, they said little Chili Red was due to leave VPC on 8/20. Not sure how they guessed that, but...

Anyone else on the ship going to Hartford???

After all this wait... I will be away in NH with wife and kids Aug 23 - 26, so I may have to wait until after then unless it comes in sooner... I don't expect it to be READY on 8/21, it's just arriving there on that date. Right?

Mine is also on the Hudson Leader, also going to Hartford.

Read on an earlier post that New Country was able to do all the programming. However, my "Motoring Advisor" said they were still working out the details, but expected to have them ironed out by delivery. Have you asked?

I also was confirmed today after knowing thru WW that I was on the boat 8/1. I'm headed for Keeler in Albany, NY and also have been given a est. delivery of 8/21.

Keeler must have heard too because I got an email from my salesman today asking for info on insurance, financing, plates ect. to facilitate a "smooth" delivery.

The excitement builds !!!!

When I called my sales guy today to enquire abour financing, etc. he acted like he could give a rats a** about the pending arrival (estimated 8/23 to Buffalo from NY City - why so late?) of our car. Also told me that the 8/12 arrival in NY city probably wasn't all that accurate as "the web page is usually off a little". I explained this was off the shipper's (WW), not MiniUSA's site but he seemed oblivious to that as well.

I certainly didn't expect him to be foaming at the mouth with excitement over the arrival of someone's car, but a little enthusiasm would have been nice.

That would make three of us obsessing on this thread...

Sucked not being able to track the HL across the atlantic. I had nightmares about the Don Juan passing us.

My estimated delivery date is 8/23. Could there not be enough room for mine on the 8/21 haul? After all it'a just a MINI...
