The WW web site hasn't updated yet, but a telephone call to MiniUSA revealed that my Mini was unloaded yesterday (Monday 8/12). Not at the VPC yet, but back on dry land.

I just called MINI-USA and the status I was told was "arrived at port of entry yesterday"... They could not tell me if it was unloaded or not, just that the ship has arrived and is unloading.

Won't be long now We need a picture of that ship unloading!!

Some AIDA posts seem to indicate very quick times thru the VPC, so hopefully we can get thru without too much delay. Don Juan is right on our tail.

Well, whatever ship it is it does have the same vertical stripe in the middle as the Hudson Leader. I'll believe it. Thanks for the pic. Great spywork.

I just checked WW website and my status was updated to DISCHARGED... We are all done with WW, now hopefully its into the VPC! MINI-USA still shows a status of "En Route" though.

Just checked with customer service. My MINI is in the VPC and estimated to leave on the 20th. I hope it is sooner as I have seen with others.

Mine is at the VPC today and expected to leave for Hartford dealer tomorrow (8/20). What is your status snowMINI, capaz?

Anyone else going to Hartford?? Of course, I'm going away this weekend, so I cannot pick it up until next week ,if MINI-USA dates are spot on.

My MINI isn't even at the VPC yet. I guess it's still sitting on the dock with the seagulls. The delivery date to Richmond is on Wednesday, but there's no way that's going to happen. Just as well, I guess. I'll be out of town from Wednesday until Friday night anyway. Still, I'd like to know it's in town waiting for me to return.

Ellen at New Country said this morning that a truck was on its way with MINIs on board. Haven't heard back yet.

They are FedExing my roof rack in tomorrow. I hope to take delivery Thursday or Friday. Hope you can get yours before your vacation.

This morning I was told our Mini's on the way to the VPC. It's scheduled to be put on the truck to Buffalo on the 21st for delivery on the 23rd. Hopefully so. Production date was 7/19, but actually completed on 7/15 so it seems that the first in, last out policy has been in effect all along.

About a half an hour ago I talked to ASK MINI and they told me that my MCS had been loaded on a truck today. I was bummed because I was expecting it to get to my dealer over last weekend and I'd be picking it up this week.

My dealer just called to say that my MINI is in!!! And I can pick it up tomorrow.

I don't know what is taking them so long. Mine was built 7/22. My friends was built 7/21 and he got his last week. Mine is supposed to be at the dealer on the 22nd and Ask-MINI said they don't think that will happen! But they don't know when it WILL happen. They are of no help.

As of yesterday I was at the VPC but today I am at the dock again,very confusing . They told me today that yesterdays news was false . I have now seen many cars built after mine delivered and can not make sense of it . I understand that MINI/BMW had no control when it was at WW and had to live by there first in last out policy, as unfair as that was, but now that it is in MINI's hands and they have control of it they should try to be fair and deliver by ordering/build date ! Its called gaining cutomer loyalty and losing that loyalty before delivery is probably not there goal.

As far as I can tell, nothing from the Hudson leader has gone through the VPC yet, other then maybe 10 cars total. It is really wrong what MINI is doing to us. If they give a ship to date, they should stick to that date.

Well, our Mini is still sitting on the dock. MiniUSA has no idea as to when it will arrive at the VPC.

I contacted the dealer to see if he could get some idea as to what's going on. His less than helpful response was that Mini delivery is "less than an exact science". He then proceeds to inform me that the paperwork necessary for delivery to the customer frequently lags behind arrival of the car at the dealer. So, even once the car is on the lot it could take another 3 or 4 days before all the paperwork catches up and we get the car. Quite frustrating.

There is no reason that once a car hits the dealer that it can't be delivered in a few hours, after it get prepped there. It takes about 2 hours to prep it. It depends on the dealer how quickly they get the paper work done. It can be done within a half hour.

That's what I thought as well, but just after I posted my last message about the paperwork, my sales guy called and once again said that Mini doesn't ship the papers that allow the transfer of ownership with car. BMW cars (i.e. actual BMWs) have their papers shipped along with them.

There can be up to a 5 day delay between arrival of the Mini at the dealer and the owner taking possession, all due to the paperwork lag (so he claims). Once the paperwork arrives he says the car is usually ready to go in no more than 2 hours.

I haven't heard anything like this before.

This is going from the ridiculous to the sublime. My emotions have run the gamut from elation (when the car was built and when it arrived in the US), to depression (when the car was left waiting on the dock in Southampton and Jersey). But now I am just starting to get frustrated and angry. MINI USA is totally useless. All they seem to know for sure is that there is nothing they can do to help. The dealer is equally useless. They finally made a call to the dock and they were told they were behind. Duh! If this goes on much longer it may diminish my enjoyment of the car, if I ever get it. I think MINI should take some lessons on setting and meeting customer expectations.
