Offline | I heard a rumor that Mini is holding new 2007 models at the US ports and not releasing them to dealers right away til middle of Feb as they are planning a simultaneous Feb 17 release. If this is true, it doesn't seem to be fair on the customers who have been waiting for a very long time to enjoy these 2007 models. Does anyone have any info on this? |

Offline | Well, this is true. MINI has set a launch date for the US models as February 19th. However, dealers should start receiving their launch vehicles earlier that week. Customer Sold units will follow right behind. MINI training for all sales managers/motoring advisors is early February and MINI wants its representatives up to speed before the new car hits the showrooms. -Steve Former Motoring Advisor Complete Motoring Nut! |

Offline | It just doesn't seem fair that the cars will be sitting at the ports for 4-6 weeks when the cutomers could be enjoying them. My Mini dealer agrees with me but says that they can't do anything about it as they don't make the rules. |

Offline | It is very frustrating! The 2007 hardtops are now hitting the ports and they will sit there until next month. I am told that the dealers closest to the ports will receive their cars first. Just have to be patient! heehee ![]() -Steve Former Motoring Advisor Complete Motoring Nut! |
