Offline | Yup, docked 29-08-02. Off loaded, 29-08-02 Due at local dealer 4-09-02 Hopefully pick-up by 11-09-02 The tension is getting BAD!!!!!!!! Having the ability to track my baby from conception thru gestation, birth, and delivery adds to the intensity of the whole event. Just hope I'll be able to treat her gently thru her adolesence until she reaches puberty. Arraggggggg Eeeeekkkkkkkk WaaaaHooooooooo!!!!! Motor on, Dudes and Dudettes!!! Offline | Discharged! I just checked with W&W and they have it listed as "Discharged". I could think of at least 19 different words that don't sound as...um...disgusting. I picture this giant organic ship belching up MINIs onto the port. At the very least, it sounds like a sick patient being let go after major surgery. How about DISEMBARKED, OFFLOADED, UNLOADED, CHECKED OUT...yadda, yadda, yadda...? Bilbo, where in the States are you located? Hopefully I'm looking at a similar delivery date. Offline | Ah, then NY Harbor isn't much farther away from me than you. If we're looking at the middle/end of next week I'd be psyched. I'm going to be attending the Vintage Gran Prix at Watkins Glen (September 6-8) where MINIs and Minis will be featured! Free parade laps on the track for anyone that shows up in a Mini/MINI. Lets all keep our fingers crossed and maybe we can create some good vibes to help those auto carriers speed along... PS/B MCS, bonnet stripes, everything but the satnav, 17" S-Lites |

Offline | NOOOOO! And the dealer tells me it ain't even in the VPC yet. So I will bet that it may be even more than a week before I drive her away. I'm in Western CT, and it may be but a 2 1/2 hour truck drive. Could it be they are taking so long due to the new ECU programming? I also bet AIDA is already picking up a new load of MINIs.:P |

Offline | Talked to MINIUSA this morning - I'm still at the VPC, but my "work order" hasn't printed yet. They speculated on a log jam of new MINIs up there, and asked me to be patient. It's pretty hard to be patient.... BigBrownDog Collinsville, IL (St. Louis, MO Area) MCS Chili Red/White |

Offline | I bet if I take a couple of hours to drive down there, there will be a ton of dark silvers waiting for that final predelivery mechanical attention. I would love to know without doing that, though. Your choice of the word 'spotted' had me thinking you had seen them for a second there. Got me thinking though. Yippee for VPC and truckin next week! |

Offline | I called tonight and they said that they were backed up because two of the ships arrived close together. She claimed that they are working 24/7 throughout the weekend and to call back on Monday to find out the status. My paperwork has been printed. I spoke with my dealer today also and they seem to be receiving vehicles today that had arrived at the VPC on 8/24.They seem to be about six days from seeing my auto unless they make up alot of ground during the weekend. Sooooooooo close........... |

Offline | I was told this morning that my work order has been printed, but the inspection hasn't completed yet. ARGGGHHH!!! Sometimes I wish I couldn't track the car so closely. The suspense is killing me. PS/B MCS, bonnet stripes, everything but the satnav, 17" S-Lites |

Offline | Me too. Me too. Me too. Me too. I'm trying to sell my old car for a bigger down payment. It offsets the anticipation. Spent all day cleaning it up, replacing exterior trim, etc. Not even done yet. I even waxed the engine bay. Would have done it all today had i not been checking MINI2 constantly. Know anyone wants a beautiful Talladega red 3 Dr 92 SAAB 900S for cheap? |
