Thanks.....The sun was really bright, I think that helped the images. The Mini was originally 9/6 but it slipped to 9/13.

Dealer has my Indi Blue S- Finally. I get it at 9am tomorrow. I was disappointed to see the Pirelli tires - they are checking to see if they can switch for the Dunlops

Nope, I'll probably be on the truck after you. I spoke to Matt this afternoon, and he said that out of the 13 or so cars from the Faust that are going to Flow, two have cleared VPC thus far. Yours must be one of them. He thinks I might could pick mine up on the 17th.

I haven't been paying attention to what tires people are getting.

Are the Dunlops the "All Season" tires for the sport package? Or would they be the "Max Performance" tires?

Both Dunlop and Pirelli are performance in 17"

Dunlop has a higher wear rating than Pirelli

Goodyear are all-season

as I understand.

I think that the Mini's still at the VPC are very naughty Mini's, they are making too much fun of Americans and are having a hard time coming to terms with driving on the right hand side of the road!

Wisconsin has lots of outdoor things to do -- fishing, hiking, canoeing, hunting, etc. Of course, you have to cram it all into the 3.5 months of warmish weather that they call summer ... The rest of the year is spent ice fishing, drinking beer, and watching hockey.

Actually, everyone I've met from Wisconsin has been very nice. For example: When the highway crews in the state seal the cracks in the roads, they put toilet paper over the hot tar so it doesn't splash onto your car as you drive over it. Nice.

North Carolina can be somewhat rural (as you might expect), but on the whole it's a fairly laid back state. It's a fairly conservative place, being on the edges of the Bible Belt. It's got good beaches in the east, good mountains in the west, and good BBQ (pork, with either ketchup or vinegar-based sauce) in between. North Carolina is also known as the "kidney stone" state from all the sweetened iced tea we drink.

(BTW: to make proper iced tea, you have to add the sugar while it's still hot, before pouring over the ice to cool it down. And it's not sweet enough until your dentist sends you a "thank you" card for helping make his vacation house payment that month)
