Offline | nelsdvn I'm also scheduled for the Hual Triton. I was really hoping to make the Arial last week but now I'm just glad to have the information. With any luck we might have our cars by mid Oct. BRG/W/W/MCS Premium |

Offline | Yes, it is confusing. The falstaff (eb230) departs Sunday. A number of us are booked faust (ec219) which departs Wednesday but isn't on the web schedule. Go figure. The Faust also take a long time to cross for some reason. The Faust goes from Southhampton to NewYork to Charleston over the period of 9/18 to 10/4. The Falstaff goes from Southampton to Baltimore to Charleston over the period 9/22 to 10/2! It get's there earlier but leaves later. Maybe they use the MINIs to propel the boat. I can't believe we new something before you, eBrit. You seem to know about all the goings on over there. ![]() Indi Blue MCS, Born Sep-13 Sport, Premium, Roof Rack |

Offline | I think there's something odd going on - I'm booked on the Faust, voyage EB230-FAU. Departs Southhampton 18/9/2002, arrives Baltimore 30/9/2002, Brunswick GA 3/10/2002, and then Charleston SC 4/10/2002. It goes further south (to Georgia), and then hits Charleston on it's way back north. Maybe they couldn't get a berth at the State Port Authority's Union Pier terminal until the 4th. Offline | eBrit - The photo is from the State Port Authority web site - I can't take credit. But it is a nice one! No idea what particular ship that is. W-W apparently bought them by the dozen. But if you look closely, you can see that they're transporting construction equipment. Chip H. ex-MINI Cooper S owner and all around good-guy |

Offline | They often do. They have two or three "reinforced decks" and more ordinatuy ones. I've seen Aida in early summer sharing her copious holds between MINIs and diggers!..the reinforced holds taking the diggers. eBrit Nice fleets though.. the Huals and the ex-Olsen Lines. These last seem to be the main MINI carriers. And what classy names... Aida Fidelio Figaro Don Juan Falstaff Traviata Medea Isolde Boheme Faust Rigoletto ...so where did Jingu Maru come from? A little known Japanese opera ...perhaps she should have beeen the "Madame Butterfly" (....I know there's the Tanabata, and the Tenebe, etc.). However, I think that Carmen is by far the most apt...don't you?eBrit TODAY I collect...YES ![]() Last edited by eBrit : Sep 18th, 2002 at 02:17 AM. |

Offline | Right, I've just got off the phone with my dealer and had to do some serious ass kicking to get my car. It's been sitting at the distribution centre since Monday and they weren't going to call it down until next week They said my scheduled delivery date was 26th so why bother getting it early!!!! Well I just said gee thanks for consulting me, get the f*****g thing a.s.a.p.!!!! It's now been called down and it will be in my hands on Monday, at worst Tuesday So all of those of you out there (UK) waiting, get onto your dealer and make sure that they know you want your car as soon as they can get hold of it. After waiting all this time for my S you would have thought they would have guessed I wanted it a.s.a.p. Good luck to all other week 36ers ![]() MINI, RX8 and MX5 - Done those............. Offline | I think (maybe just hope) that it will be two to four weeks. I have talked to people who have had their cars held up at the dock or VDC for over two weeks. Who knows, maybe we'll be motoring by the 15th. The more before the snow the better. Good Luck BRG/W/W/MCS Premium |
