WAS: 9/20, NOW: 9/27! What did I do wrong?!

My original production date was 9/20, and yes, it is pathetic to admit that I have been drooling for even the slightest hint that I was moving closer. (Like waiting for the VIN to pop up!)

But what has happened? I've been postponed a week.

I've a fully loaded S in the works. Could it be the Xenon backlog or something? Is anyone else waiting with me?

I feel so alone...

I have to say, my est. prod date started out Aug 9, and it never changed. They shipped on the 15th and I'm picking it up tomorrow (the 30th)!!!! One day before the est. date. No complaints here. Just the luck of the draw, I suppose, plus I didn't order any of the colors or parts that happened to cause a delay. I really don't mean to gloat - my impatience has been agonizing and exhausting even though it all went as planned. But I truly sympathize with those who are dealing with delays!

you're not alone

It's beginning to look like many of the 9/6's went to 9/13, 9/13's went to 9/20, and 9/20's went to 9/27. Maybe they're just slowing down the transition to 2003's.

Mine did the 9/6 to 9/13 switch.

It took a little longer than others, for my wifes 9/6 'on order' to go to 'scheduled for production'.
But it has remained at the 9/6 date.
It is a loaded MC (including the xenons - which I thought, might be a problem).
Maybe the slippage is only for the MCS???

Ohhhhh now I get why MINI's leather option seemed a tad overpriced, they're (we're?) covering the costs of the rapidly sinking British cattling industry

I was 9/6, slipped to 9/13 and just called MiniUSA and got status 150, so the slipped date may be a little off.

9/6 -> 9/26?!
Just how many weeks of production are they going to squeeze out that week? Maybe it IS a simple part they ran out of and will be installing as a last step...?

You did nothing wrong. Consider yourself lucky. Just think of every car that goes in front of yours as that much more training for the manufacturering force.

Eventually, their training will be more thouough and the error rate will start to fall. With every car completed yours should be even better.

Every cloud has a silver lining!

I've been FORGIVEN!!! :-)

Just called MINI to make sure I was CD prep'ed for the disc changer and found out it was TOO LATE (can this be done by the dealer now?!), as my 9/27 prod. date is actually 9/20(ish) and I am 150 on 9/16, going to 151 tomorrow!!

WOO HOO!!
