Delivery Question

Spoke to dealer this morning. Apparently my MINI has been built and is somewhere near London? Does anyone know where this might be? They say it should arrive any day soon! Yayyyyyy!

Excellent news! From my poking around, the MINI's are built near Oxford and shipped out of Southhampton. I believe they travel by rail between those two locations...

I hope it's not going to Southampton, I live relatively near Oxford so I can't see it leaving the country to get to my dealers! Hopefully!!! Thanks!

I was under the impression they go straight from Oxford to your dealer, I don't know why it would be in London... are you sure it's new?

It's new! Got the registration details yesterday and I've waited 3 months from order date to now! Spoke to the dealer, they say it's at a mid point depot between the factory and the dealer and as of yesterday, it should be on the delivery truck!

Is your dealer a dealer from London? They may have a central depot that they use thats near London if they have dealerships in London as well as reading. it may be that they PDI your car at their facilities near London before shipping it to your specific branch of the dealership out in Reading

Don't know! But just had a call from them, they're trying to find out the exact status of the car and will let me know!

Some cars end up in Thorne (near Doncaster) which is the UK MINI holding depot.
