BTW - you mentioned the Jingu Maru is picking up Hondas on the west shore - do they assemble Hondas in the UK, or are they just sitting there after being dropped from Japan?

Hondas are built in Swindon. hassle down the same A34 road as MINI's to the Western Docks

Well, as of today, the W&W site says that my car has been loaded. The booked ship is still the Manon, so I can only assume that it sailed yesterday on the 3rd like it was supposed to.

It says that I have been loaded!

The ship has left and is just north of Spain, when last recorded.

Seeing as the W&W site lists autos that were "Removed" as well, I feel VERY comfortable that I'm, er, My Baby, er, my car is at sea now...

866-ASK-MINI still has me on the dock...

Take heart if you are waiting for the Jingu Maru...here is the first bunch of MINIs queueing at 4:00pm just waiting to go on board at the crack of dawn. The Figaro (in background) is already loaded and will be off this evening.

eBrit, great shot - thanks! You've clearly got great connections to be able to get that close! I guess the guard seagulls decided to let you pass today, huh?

I'm only an hour away from Bayonne, where the cars are unloaded (They call it New York, but in reality it all happens just across the river in New Jersey), maybe I'll see if I can get anywhere close to the lot of Minis being unloaded next week...

I'll just fantasize that the EB MCS in the foreground is mine, patiently waiting to roll on board...

(I know you asked for my VIN, but call me paranoid, I'm not entirely comfortable posting that in a public forum...)

In the mean time, I'm driving my slot-car mini:

I also had a production date of Sept 27th which was bang on schedule. Car was ordered Aug 5th, built Sept 27th, put on the Don Juan Sept 30th and will be in NY October 9th. Estimated delivery on the owners lounge says October 12th....will keep ya posted.....

I live in NYC and have the same delivery date as you..10/12.
Maybe it's because I'm getting dealer options fitted...but I would think I would have an earlier date, being only 15 minutes from the VPC.

..the stevedores start work at 8:00 am, its currently 8:15

According to WW, my baby has been loaded on the vessel at 11:08am this morning. Will be watching the site to make sure they don't take him off!

W&W still says 'LOADED ON VESSEL' for the Manon 'ED239-MAN'... but the Manon was supposed to ship on Oct 3rd.

Ask MINI says it is still at the port...

Is there any way to tell if the ship has left port, and that my MINI is really on the way?

Go by the info on the shippers web page (WW) - that's probably more accurate. Other posts I've read indicate that the OL is often a little behind in their updates...

I've gotten nowhere trying to track the Jingu Maru. From what I've gathered, the call sign is JPPT, but it doesn't seem to have reported in yet. Ah well...

eBrit, thanks once again, I think the last picture could very likely be mine (the first set were S's, I could see the red of the badges). The last picture has the chrome bumpers & no spoiler, just as ordered. I couldn't see the roof (or the mirrors) to verify.

Maybe it's because I'm getting dealer options fitted...but I would think I would have an earlier date, being only 15 minutes from the VPC.
