Very Quick Delivery Mini One Hi, I ordered a new Mini One on the 18th August 2007 and was told it would be ready start Oct. Just had call from dealer saying they have the car at their premises ready to be registered. I am a little concerned that it is old stock as my first mini took 3 months from point of order. I am also unsure whether it is the new stop/start model as the dealer is being a little vague about this. Anyone else getting quick delivery times? Can anyone put my mind at rest that i'm not getting an old model? Cheers

Depends, i guess they might have just got it into an earlier build slot for you. My dealer told me on Saturday that the leadtime on ONEs wasnt very high at all, compared to the likes of the Cooper S and D. As for the stop/start. Ive got no idea But surely they can check on the order screen to see?

Thanks for letting me know about the One leadtimes. My previous car was Cooper S Conv so maybe thats why it took 3 months and the One has only took 3 weeks. RE stop/start - asked dealer today to check and he said not sure but would look on order, however he's not got back to me despite numerous calls - probably worried about nothing. Cheers

MINI S En Route!! Yahoo - my pepper white Mini S was completed Sept 10th and is already on the Southampton dock, slated for transport aboard COURAGE, due to depart tomorrow. Tracking indicates delivery via Charleston, ETA 1 October, then due to my dealership about 10 October. Tracking advice on WW Lines site and 1-866-ASK MINI all very helpful, the Owner's Lounge page on production status seems to lag by a few days. Can't wait!!

Don't think you have anything to worry about, only ordered our One on 5th Sept and am expecting delivery before the end of the month, as has already been said above it's probably that there is spare capacity for One's, also unless you've ordered a completely basic model with no options (if any one ever has !!) I would think it would be quite difficult for a dealer to source an "old one" with the exact spec you've gone for. Joe Last edited by rallyeman; Sep 14th, 2007 at 06:34 PM. Reason: spelling !
