Offline | May 2008 Production I recently ordered my first Cooper which will be built by May 16th. Any idea which line and ship it will be transported on for delivery at the Port Hueneme VPC? I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my Chili Red hardtop in late June... |

Offline | If everything goes smoothly, you can probably expect it to be in the neighborhood of four weeks. Once it gets to the VPC though, things get fuzzy... EDIT: Hopefully you're on one of the WW ships, they usually transmit weather information, which makes it possible to keep track a bit more closely. |

Offline | Thanks for the info. I'm trying to figure out which shipping line my car is likely to be put on next week so that I can track the ship on its way to Port Hueneme and estimate its delivery date via one of the websites recommended in other posts and discussion forums. |

Offline | My pleasure- it's a blast keeping track. Once you hit the black hole of the VDC it's a bit aggravating, since the constant source of information gets cut off. The 16th should put you in the 20th production week. There's a support group for your week over on North American Motoring, if you're not already involved over there. There's probably even a few people that will end up on the same boat. Chances are there's a club wherever you're at too- you're going to Port Hueneme, the west coast has a bunch of great clubs. You should check 'em out! If you know your VIN, the WW tracking site will show it a bit before the car's loaded, it might even show by now... |

Offline | Thanks again for the NAM Support Group tip, although no luck yet on the WW site. I'll followup with the Week 20 group to figure out which ship our vehicles are on and begin tracking our cars on their trek across the pond. I'm checking into the So Cal clubs and am considering attending the Mini Takes the States event at the Rose Bowl in LA on August 1st with my new Mini. |
