I placed my deposit on August 17. My dealer said that I would have my car by the end of December. Last week they told me that now my order will not be placed until December. Does anyone have an Idea how long it takes from the time the dealer places an order until the car arrives. I think that I will be lucky to see it by March.

April 4 - Called Dealer and placed deposit
August 8 - Dealer placed order for a 9/27 production date
September 10 - Status 112
September 15 - Status 150 and Vin Number assisgned
September 25 - BORN
September 28 - Shipped to Southhampton
September 30 - left on the Don Juan
October 9th - Estimated unloading in New York

After that who knows. Apparently VPC and options installed at the dealer can take anywhere from 3 to 30 days according to some posts.

My experience may look long, but I was waiting for the Indi Blue S to go into production. You may enjoy a slightly shorter wait based on car/color/options.

Dealers usually receive their allocations for cars 5 - 6 weeks prior to the actual month in which they're built. For example, the order for my Week 23 (ending June 7) build was placed on April 26. My 'S' ended up being built a week early (May 28) and I took delivery just under 5 weeks later on July 2. About the fastest West Coast delivery one could expect, my 'S' encountered no delays (waiting for a ship or sitting in the VPC) in getting to the dealers.
