I called them today and they said that the car was awaiting transport to the VPC. They said I should see it move within the next few days..Hurry up and wait!!

"looks like we are in a holding pattern, for the last week we have been circling the docks, the weather is currently mild with broken clouds, looks like traffic is backed up at the VPC and we may be holding here for a while, your attendant will be by with another snack during our prolonged wait. Once again Im disappointed to announce we will continue to circle, untill there is space at the VPC. we do appreciate your patience and thank you for flying air MINI."

MY BET: there are too few trucks to clear the VPC, because all the cargo was offloaded at once(after longshoremen lock out) the trucks have taken perishable goods to other parts of the country leaving the VPC full so we wait till the VPC clears out.....

I called ASK-MINI just now. They said my car was AT the VPC and "the work order is printed". Ill bet all y'all's cars are there too. The lady said it would be at the VPC a week, then onto a truck to Desert MINI.

Yup! Same for mine. I called yesterday afternoon and got the same info. The "scheduled" release was next Thursday.

Got a call from my dealer. They said they expect to get my car Tuesday, and will truck it up to me by the end of this coming week!!!

Jarid- dont fret. Im sure yours will be in the same batch out of the VPC as mine. I will come by the dealership in Portland after I get mine and introduce myself.

Snagmonkey...you lucky b*#&@! I called Mini again this morning and my car is to be released to the carrier tomorrow. That's a couple days earlier than expected so I can't complain.
At least you folks can head down to your dealer and drive away. I have to get a flight from Sacramento to Salt Lake City, then taxi to the dealer and hope to be on the road the same day.

I get the feeling that we have all hepled eachother through this tough time, and our "graduation" time is drawing near.

866 MINI just said last update this AM, and through VPC, AND on a truck en-route

lottatoys, dont feel bad , I have a friend that was going to goto Salt Lake City, because of the short wait, to put this all in perspective, I think Seattle has a BIG demand for these little guys, I put my name on the list September 2001! I cant believe how close to delivery we all are!So EXCITING!

OH right back to work, gotta pay for this beast now

Hmmm, who will get theirs first.....

I am taking delivery (hope to)from NORTHWEST MINI, sales manager called said "running rough" need to order a part I asked what, said he didnt know.So need to reschedule, said he will call me when its ready, so no time set. Just the facts, I dont want to get into emotions, after all this time saying its ready, then its not... well that's just mean.

Sausagefingers...are you taking delivery from Mini of Murray? Just curious, as they're the only dealer in Utah. I've been dealing with Debbie over the phone and she's been great.
Talked to her yesterday and we're both planning for a delivery next week (7 Novemner). That will give her time to get ClearBra installed before I pick the car up.
Anyway, it's good to know the Galaxy Leader thread is coming to an end, isn't it?

went to visit her yesturday, alone in the back lot

the sales manager said a bad injector and a prob with the ECU (started a thread in MCS) didnt know much more, I'll try to talk to service manager today, parts should be in today, but I'm wondering if this is the start of something larger. I'm wondering if I should just reorder(also want the anthracite dash over the pantina) advice....

Yeah I am going through Mini of Murray. I went through someone else though(reccomended by a family member) and he has not made the experience all that great. He normally sells Beamers and I think he feels like I am small change. Should have stuck with Debbie. Anyway that is good news about the cars. I was really hoping for the 6th though, I am gonna keep those fingers crossed!!!

Just talked to Bill at Desert MINI. My car is sitting on their showroom floor!!! It came in last night. He said it looks fantastic. G*d, I cant WAIT. Having it trucked up to Portland. Probably will leave on Friday.

All you Galaxy Leader brothers - how about a picture post as a signoff to the thread?
