HUAL TRITON 20 October Voyage

Called ASK-MINI today and I am now Status 193. Checked the WWW (Wallenius Wilhelmsen Website) and show as Booked on the HUAL TRITON voyage EA242-HTN. There are supposedly 146 MINIs planning on taking the cruise - who else is with me?

I'm on the Triton (named for the son of Poseidon, it says here.) I'm the British Retching Green guy over by the rail, trying to keep my lunch where I put it.

Call Sign = C6QA4

Haul Triton's call sign is C6QA4, but I haven't heard anything from her yet.

Yup...on-line! Try Ocean Weather
Then pick "North Atlantic". You can look at Observations, Wave Height, or Sea Temperature. If you click on "Java Loop" in top right corner you get a three frame animation of the last 12 hours' metrics. ..It does take a few minutes to load.

"Is the storm worse or better?"...depends where you are in it Best estimate is that Triton is currently in "the eye" of the storm.

Thanks for the cool link, eBrit. I've never seen a 40-foot wave, but it's good to know I'll be driving a car that knows what they look like in case we ever run into one out here in Ohio.

Lost at sea?

I, too, have been dutifully watching for the Hual Triton, but, alas, there has been no sign of her.

Could it be?

I grabbed these images from the Empire State Building Webcam (http://www.esbnyc.com/). Could it be the Hual Triton? Looks about right from the image posted above, but it is fairly hazy today in NYC...
