Delivery of new Mini

Please could someone advise me of how long a new Mini takes to be delivered. I have asked the dealer and all I get is its ordered, approximately 6 weeks from order. I am in 4 weeks from initial orderand still not had a date confirmed is this the normal way. When I enquired last weekend it was as if I was in the way. I wouldnt mind but they have had my deposit, if they hadnt I would have gone elsewhere.

i ordered a new cooper & they said 6 weeks & i got a phone call after 4 weeks & they said it had arrived. they said the cars with customer names aginst them were coming through first. Give them a call they will know exavtly when it will be built. I pick up mine on wednesday, i cant wait. hope yours arrives soon

From what I understand you get a tracking number a few days after you order the car then you can track its progress on the mini website. Somebody that has been through the process may be able to shed more light on the tracking system.
I was lucky, my dealer had in stock the exact car I wanted so I got mine in 3 days.
But you know the wait will be worth it..enjoy

i have a feeling that the tracking number is only for cars bound for USA

I placed the order for my MINI on the 10th April (but it wasn't processed until 14th because it was the Easter weekend).I still have no firm delivery date despite ringing the dealership (twice). The salesman says he'll contact me when it's delivered.

I spoke with dealer about my order yesterday about my order which I ordered 5 weeks ago. I was given the built date of 24 weeks which is around 8th june and then a further week for completion. Phone your dealer and ask what week the car is going to be started and work from there.

I ordered my MCS 5 weeks ago too. I got a call from the dealer yesterday to say that it had gone into production and is due for delivery on the 8th june too!

I have to say i felt a little in the dark after i initially ordered...so i kept on pestering them!

I'm just hoping they can stick to this date!!

My convertible:
- ordered 2 April;
- advised it had finished production 17 April, but there were delays in shipping;
- arrived at dealer (UK) 27 April.
