As promised, here are some images of the Manon unloading her MINI's in Port Hueneme, CA today. I have better ones on film (longer lens), I'll post some in a couple of days after processing and scanning. It was a great day for flying. My thanks to Capt. Pete, the pilot and A/C owner.

As you can see, the MINI's all have scratch protective plastic on them, so it is difficult to spot "your" MINI, but I think they were all unloaded and on the lot when we took the shots. ENJOY!

Happy to help.

The image keeps cropping when I post, the one on my disk has the whole lot of MINI's. I'll work on it tomorrow when I have the rest processed.

Now we get to check the efficiancy of the VPC and dealers.

I guess I'll give it two weeks till they have my car ready for me.

Well actually southwest airlines requires 14 days advance purchase for the $75 fare to fly up to Oakland.

I think these are about the best of the bunch. I would have liked to order then better on the gallery page, but I don't see a way to do that. Of course, I'm still learing.

Well. So far, it's been almost a week. Oh, ok, 4 days since the Manon unloaded. Has anyone from that ship been 'moved' into the VPC? I called MINIUSA today and I am still 'on the dock'...

The person at ASK MINI told me yesterday that today it should go into VPC. From there on I hope it goes fast!

Yeah, My dealer told me 7-14 days for the VPC, then 3 days at the dealer prior to delivery. It is sounding like it will be closer to the 7 days through the VPC. I just might cruise by their lot this weekend and see if any MINI's are being delivered.

Bill,

you must live close by, lucky you can just drive over.
The security there is pretty tight. I had a tour of the VPC once and it seemed like a lot of security before you can get past the front gate...but maybe you have some connections.

I was told to call back tomorrow to check on status through ASK MINI since their systems get updated later tonight.

I should have been more clear . . . I am going to drive by the DEALER's lot, not the VPC. I am just a few surface street miles from my dealer. I am about 70 miles or so from the VPC, on the wrong side of LA to-boot.

ASKMINI has updated! 'We' were indeed inducted into the VPC yesterday and I, at least, have an expected turn around time of Nov. 5 to be shipped up!

I wont bother calling about my car and just assume things are moving along as planned( sounds like line from Austin Powers).

I'll call in 2-3 days and hope to hear the dealer has the car!

I've completely lost it. Must be the desparation setting in. I haven't even ordered my MINI yet and I am watching web shots of other people's coming off the boats. Someone tell me I am not alone. . .
