Looks like my car has hit the high seas on the Don Juan as of last night. Anybody else on board? I haven't been able to locate the ship (Call sign SGIX) on the marine weather (and ship!) tracking site yet, but it should be out there some where. Anyone else aboard?

I was waitlisted on the Don Juan, and now I'm waitlisted on the Maersk Teal. Don Juan sounds a lot cooler than Maersk Teal. It's also 9 days sooner.

My MINI was booked on the Don Juan according to WW site. Yesterday, WW said MINI was loaded on ship.

Yesterday and now today AskMINI says it is showing MINI did not make ship. Status code still shows 193.

I DON'T KNOW IF MINI IS ON BOARD OR NOT!!!! Sorry, unknown is driving me nuts! I'll call AskMINI again tomorrow.

Of course, I'm hoping WW site is up to date and correct!

Started out on the Ryujin, then Trinidad, then Don Juan and now Maersk Teal. Status 193 since October 24th.

Mine missed the Don Juan and is waitlisted on the Maersk Teal too.

So much for delivery before Nov 18th. Hopefully I will have it before Thanksgiving.

Well, now I'm a bit confused. According to the Wallenius Wilhemsen website my car was loaded on to the Don Juan on the 28th at 6:04 in the evening for voyage EA243-DOJ, also leaving on the 28th (cool...last on, first off!). However, in the Mini Owner's Lounge, it still has an "Awaiting Transportation" status, though it should be well into "En Route" by now. Is there a significant delay in the OL site versus Wallenius Wilhelmsen?

Definite delay in OL. What I didn't realize , is the delay at AskMINI also.

WW site had me booked and loaded on the Don Juan. AskMINI had me at status 193 and not booked or loaded. The Don Juan was to sail the 27th but sailed the 28th due to storms.
Finally, late this afternoon, AskMINI said it showed I (MINI) was loaded and at sea.!

YEA!!!!

Mine is on the Don Juan - my dealer said it should arrive in NY by Saturday Nov 9th - it stays at the VPC for up to a week (depending on how many cars they have to process) and then it's sent to the dealer. Should have it the week of Nov 18th!

Hi minikk,

When did your dealer last check?

According to the Wallenius Wilhelmsen Global Cargo Tracking site, the Don Juan is still scheduled for arrival in New York (New Jersey) today, 11/07.
Departs 11/08 and arrives in Baltimore, MD 11/08. Departing there on 11/09/

Don Juan unloaded yesterday, so we're all on dry ground! I've got an overnight bag already packed for the run down to Cincintati the second the dealer calls me.

My wife thinks I'm nuts...

Ah, I'm abord the Don Juan as well. I didn't see on the WW webpage where you could tell that your Mini had actually deboarded the ship. I hope it's soon. I'm actually going to be at Baltimore Harbor today so I may take a pic of the Don Juan and post it if any one is interested. I know our cars aren't on it, but hey, we're obsessed enough to post on a BB about it...

My dealer called Saturday (11/09), looks like I'm not only off the boat, but through the distribution center, waiting for a truck to Cincinnati today! I should pick it up by the end of the week.

Old car is sold, overnight bag is packed, digital camera batteries at full charge, the waiting is nearly at an end!

Got through VPC Saturday.

Dealer said they expect delivery today!!

Getting the last minute details ironed out with the dealership has been a great experience. My car should be ready to go tomorrow, but I've got to wait until Friday to pick it up (my ride down won't have a day off until then). So it will sit comfortably in the warm dealership until then, I guess.

The anticipation and excitement has been pretty cool. Remember the butterflies you used to get in your stomach on Christmas morning as a little kid? First time I've felt those in a long time. I can't wait!

2 days, 22 hours, and 37 minutes...

I'll post pictures next Tuesday (I hope) of delivery and subsequent motoring. This weekend and Monday I'll be taking the looooooooonnnng way home. Thanks to all my Mini2 mates for helping the wait.
