Just checked my status with WW today and my car is already at sea

The Don Juan sailed yesterday for Halifax and will get to NY on Dec 3rd. Anyone else onboard with me..?

Is the call sign for the ship always the same..?

Are you tracking it anywhere other than the Wallenius Wilhelmsen website?
Any idea on how you might watch the ship unload? We might possibly be in NYC next week, and my husband said he'd take me to see it come in.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner - I was in Montreal for a few days seeing Peter Gabriel.

I've been tracking it at oceanweather.com too, although it's a bit erratic. The ships only show on there if they radio in weather conditions. The Don Juan in call sign SGIX if you want to look. Go to current data, then marine observations in the appropriate area of the ocean.
The DJ should be in Halifax today... I can't get to the WW site at the moment. Not long now... !!!
The web cam that looks at the docks can be found on here somewhere... I don't think you can get close enough in person to see them unload, and the web cam doesn't zoom in far enough either.

I wonder what's the delay? It was supposed to dock yesterday, now it says 12/4, which is today, and it's almost midnight, still not showing as docked.

I SO want my Mini before Christmas!!

Did they forget to take the cars off..??!!

Looks like I'll be picking mine up on Friday the 13th... do you think that's a good idea.!?

I'm not superstitious - if anything, it will be a *lucky* day!
You think it will be ready that soon!? My dealer in Cinci OH said it would be two weeks!

I'm picking it up from a dealer in Long Island, so it doesn't have to go far..! A friend of mine got an S a few weeks ago, it docked on a Wednesday and was in Peabody, MA on Friday afternoon and she picked it up on the Saturday.

I've heard it depends on how many cars are going to a particular area. They need to get a full transporter load. There are three dealers in Long Island and the port is in NJ so I don't think I'll have to wait long. Trucking it to Cinci OH might take a while longer

My dealer says its a 2 day haul from NY to Cinci. I hope they keep the owners lounge updated with the VPC status! These last couple weeks to go are so hard!

DISCHARGED NEW YORK, NY 05/12/2002 00:30

Does that mean the car was delivered today, the 6th, at 9am? What does Discharged mean?
It was funny, my dealer said it was still on the boat (That's what the O.L. says) so I emailed her the tracking website)

I've been away for the weekend, and out of touch with the tracking site (yes it was hard

). Like yours, mine was discharged from the boat on Thursday night and delivered on Friday morning. I think 'delivery' on the shipping co web site means it was on a truck that rolled out of the gate.
Don't know why the OL is taking so long to update though.

Nothing from them yesterday, despite their promise to "check on it every day"

I'll call the guy today and see if there's any way I can get everything in place for Friday (I'm buying out of state and MA is fussy about plates).
