Anyone else on the Elektra, sailed Jan 28?

Well it looks like there are 166 MINI's on the Elektra headed for the west coast. Spike (my car) is on board. Is anyone else a shipmate?

Mine is going to Louisville, Colorado. Louisville is about 5 miles east of Boulder and 20 Miles northeast of Denver. The wait is killing me. Our cars will be passing through the Panama canal on Monday. I can't believe we are the only two MINI2 members with cars on that ship.

If they had offered tan leather seats, I would have gone with the BRG/white combo. It is the dogs, as they say across the pond.

Cool, Did you order the sport package? if you did not, thay do have tan leather. But if you have dogs, that makes sence. How did you find the ship's call letters to track this ship. the this form I found the ship and when it left port. It's to arrive at Port Hueneme, CA on the 18 of this month. I'm finely geting excited. I too have been waiting at least 8 months or more. Plus I changed dealerships, I would have to wait year and half longer if I didn't change dealerships. I thought that was way!! to long of wait. So I'm hoping to pickup my S sometime in March.

My car is an S also, so no tan leather. I have not found a way to get the call sign of the Elektra. I found out when it was going through the canal by sending email to the Panama canal folks through their web site and they were nice enough to send me the date. I also asked if they had the call sign, but they did not give that to me, if they had it.

I am hoping that it doesn't take to long for the cars to get through the BMW center once they are off loaded. I am hoping for early March delivery.

My guess is that it could take up to a week in there at the MBW center. The a week probley at most to truck the mini's up to the Bay Area. But I could be wishfull thinking. It could take longer for your S, that's a bumber!

Hi ship mates. Elektra has docked and unloaded. It's good too see my MCS BRG/B has been in good company on Elektra. I don't know about you guys...but I am getting less and less sleep. I hope my boy comes home soon.

I saw that the Elektra docked also. Spike got off the boat at 6:18 yesterday morning. Of course, MINIUSA still has him as en route. It will be interesting to see how long it takes them to update the status. It took 3 days before they knew he sailed. My dealer says it will take about ten days to two weeks for Spike to get here. The wait is getting harder and harder. I have been making a nice home for him in the garage.

Thanks, for the update on the docking of the Elektra!! I agree, it's going to be the longest 2 weeks. It's hard to believe that my 8 month wait is almost over. But it gives me time to clear a spot for MCS/W new home. And say GoodBy to my ex's truck!!!

I'm glad I am not the only one preping for my new ride. I went out and bought all new detailing crap for my mini and also got some theft-proof valve stems from him too. My 2000 328ci is almost out of my life. What a problem child that car has been.

Something weird...I just talked to ASK Mini and they said "Elekra" just docked today. I think they are a little behind on their info.

Getting restless...I want my car.

I've been told that, the Ask Mini, and there web page is just alittle behind the curve. Have you Checked the Wilhelmsen page, I think it said, it docked on the 18th.

Now that mcs is almost here, I've started looking at 17" or 18" wheels and car covers. Man, there are alot of wheels to chose form out there for mcs. I've kind-of leaning toward the hamman.

I, like you, am ready to site behind my own mcs, and not reading about all the others that already have theirs!!

I have been eye'n the Hamman wheels too. God are they nice. I made a nice desktop pic of a silver MCS with Hammans. If you like I will share. And a car cover is also high on my list. Then intake, painted calipers, window tinting, arm rest, etc.

I did check Wilhelmsen and it shows my Mini being discharged yesterday.

Cheers,

Where have you been looking at the hamman wheels? have you seen any good prices?

I think the closest place to get Hamman wheels is: Wheel Power, Inc. ...they are in Huntington Beach.

I have not had a chance to give them a call or stop by. But, once I get my Mini, I will be stopping by.
