Does anyone here besides me have a MINI on order at Otto's in West Chester, PA?

I had my name on their "interest list" in the summer of 2001. Gave up and got my Cooper from Don Rosen.

They expect to open in May, finally. I don't have a production number yet, but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that my MINI will be here then. (As one of my friends says, "Hope is free.")

Did you have to wait long at Don Rosen?

I put a deposit down in Dec 2001 - well before the official US launch. (was #29 on the Cooper list)

Placed order March 2002 - Car delivered May 10th

[NOTE: I had originally called Otto's and got on their list in the summer of 2001.]

Both mfc and ArticM3 on this board are motoring advisors at Don Rosen

I've been on their list forever, and was feeling pretty relaxed about it - I'll have to sell my lovely red VW GTI VR6 with the lovely suspension mods and the extremely lovely low end torque when the mini comes. But now that I've actually sent the specs in, all of a sudden I'm impatient.

I ordered "Sprocket" last Friday from Don Rosen, since Otto's is not open for business yet. At least that's what I've heard.

I finally got my production number yesterday (3/31). I'm so happy! I got into the Owners' Lounge with it at MINIUSA, but all it says is, "On order". That's enough for me for about a week. Please keep me posted on your status. I'm anxious...anxious...but patient.

Actually they do not expect to open until the end of May. Even though I have a producion number and an estimated production date and a VIN, they were very clear that they will not be able to deliver the car until they are officially open.
