Offline | Anyone going thru vpc in Port Hueneme? Has anyone tracked their mini through the vpc that came in on Titus Monday? I'm still sitting at the port according to Ask Mini. I've been waiting since last july with no problem but the anxiety is starting to catch up. I've heard it could be anywhere from 3 to 30 days more. I don't know how to plan my weekends now. ![]() MCS DS/W, H/K, Premium, Sport w/stripes, Silver Dash |

Offline | I'm with you on that. Just about to call MINI and see if they can give me any more information. On miniusa I am still enroute but the WW site shows it came off the boat Monday. I'm picking mine up in Oregon though so you will definately be getting yours before me! Ohhh the suspense...it is killing me. |

Offline | ok, just got off the phone with MINI they were super nice - 1-866-275-6464 give them a call and they will tell you where your car is. Mine is going through inspection (started yesterday - work order is in progress) then gets released to the company that trucks them out. She said the inspection is usually just a couple of days. I bet you will be getting yours this weekend if you are in the same batch as me! |

Offline | I've been calling everyday since monday and as of noon today was still parked at the port. I still have hopes of picking it up sometime this weekend but what I wanted to do was take a picture of it coming off the truck. I'd have to know when the truck will be there. It seems to have become too much of a hasle for just a picture. I saw a post somewhere here where someone from washington picked up their car 3 or 4 days after it was unload from the boat. Must not take long to travel up north. This also must have been a rare case. keep us posted on your status. MCS DS/W, H/K, Premium, Sport w/stripes, Silver Dash |

Offline | So any word on your MINI? Called my dealer when I saw that the website had been adjusted to say arrival of March 16th. That seemed a bit late to me considering it is going through inspection. Maybe they don't work weekends? They just said that they didn't know and that the estimated delivery is usually "close" hmmmm Gonna call MINI again Monday I'm sure they are sick of us callin all the time! |

Offline | Yes. Thursday late afternoon it went to vpc and I was told that it takes 2 to 3 days before releasing to trucking company. I called Friday to ask if VPC works thru the weekend and they said yes but not with a full crew. I'm on vacation next week and was hoping to spend some time with it while I'm off. I would think your Mini should have gone through to the truck by now. Hasn't it been 3 or 4 days for yours? The 16th doesn't sound right, unless the truck is going to take it's time. Offline | Well hopefully that won't be too long. I'm sorry to hear it! But maybe it is just a quick thing. Mine was scheduled to be inspected last Tuesday and on Friday it still hadn't completed. Hmmm. We have waited this long, what is a few more days? (Torture that is what it is!!) |

Offline | That is very sad news, I am shocked!! sorry to here it. What will you do now? I did a search on this site for damaged vehicles and read some horror stories. I've been thinking about what I would do if major repairs had to be done, order another, buy one off the lot, or take it anyway. I wasn't going to call today, fearing no news was not good, but called anyway and they said my Mini was released to truck company late this afternoon. I was relieved to think that only two days to repair must not have been very bad. I thought that yours should have been on a truck by now. But to here your news is very saddening. I would think something special could be done in a case like this to get a replacement in Silk Green.MCS DS/W, H/K, Premium, Sport w/stripes, Silver Dash |

Offline | Our MCS, all silver, that was on the Titus arrived at the dealer on Thurs. I saw it Friday, looks great!! Veruca--A gobstopper for you to ease your pain! MINI of North Scottsdale, AZ has a silk green demo Cooper- I saw it Friday. Perhaps your dealer can get it for you, they could truck it up to Seattle pretty quick, just a thought. |

Offline | Well it has been a very long week - with lots of phone calls to my out of state dealer. So far they are saying that the factory will not build a new silk green one. However, they did find a brand new one headed to the east coast that doesn't seem to be spoken for and happens to match my specs. So now they are trying their best to get that one for me as I do not want to wait another 2 months for a car. My fingers are crossed that I will be able to get that one. Meanwhile I am driving a BMW loaner car as I had already sold my car in anticipation of the MINIs arrival! I am a bit let down over the whole thing, but hopefully things will work out and when I finally get my hands on a MINI I'll forget the whole thing. So glad to hear that your cars are ok and didn't suffer mine's fate!!! Post pics if you get a chance, I would love to see your new cars. -amy |

Offline | Amy, Great luck, good to here there is still hope. Hope it all works out and you get that Mini soon! Keep us posted. dukesantos, Good to here from another shipmate. Have you pick your Mini up yet? I've just posted some photos to my gallery, check them out! My gallery We had a bad storm (4inches in one day) the day after picking my Mini up so it sat in the garage Saturday and half Sunday. We went to eat Sunday night, saw 4 other Minis at various places and was almost hit head on by an out of control motorcyclist taking a curve too fast. Then today at work the Mini was targeted three times by birds, normally a rare occurance. So far only 109 miles on it and the thrill is getting better. Tomorrow I'm having the windows tinted, I'll post pictures after the tint job.MCS DS/W, H/K, Premium, Sport w/stripes, Silver Dash |

Offline | Well guys still no luck! Today they came and swapped my loaner car - so now I am driving an even nicer BMW. There were tab issues with the other - a whole 'nother story! Dealership is still working on locating one to my specs, seems everytime they find one it is sold by the time they call. I gave in and called Mini customer service and have someone there who has been kind enough to join in and see how to resolve this big mess. All I have to say is it has been just about a week and I am really tired of it all. It makes me sad to know that as the days go by I am closer and closer to making the decision to go with another color. (but i don't want to!!!) Take a drive in your new Mini's for me ![]() -amy |

Offline | I did ask my Motoring Advisor at the time of delivery but in all the excitement it never got addressed. I did leave a message with the Client Care Center today to get me that information. I had the Mini's windows tinted yesterday at a small tinting place in Anaheim. When I picked it up there was a girl there having her Silk Green Mini windows tinted. She is also in a Mini club I joined that went to Solvange last Saturday (the day of the storm) she did not go because of rain either. Last thing i'd ever expect to see! Boy, the world is getting Minier! MCS DS/W, H/K, Premium, Sport w/stripes, Silver Dash |

Hehe I know that was a awful lot of questions... but u know we want the best for our babies...Thanks Eric UCSDxB0i@san.rr.com |

Offline | XLNT Tint 2970 E. La Palma Ave Anaheim (714) 630-6227 www.xlnttint.com XLNT Tint does very good work! Warranty for as long as you own your car covers bubbling, peeling, cracking and turning purple. It was $210 for complete car including sunroof using the less expensive film. I had planned on going with the higher quality (about $315) but he said that it was more glossy and the cars he showed me had the less expensive which looked great! They had 4 shades of each, light, medium, dark and I think he called the darkest "limo". I went with dark on all back windows and sunroof and medium on the doors. It turned out just right! There is a drying period that is a pain, do not roll windows down for 48 hrs, no washing inside of windows for 30 days. I will post pictures maybe this weekend.
