Offline | I ordered my Cooper at the start of January and was told there were 3 cars left for May delivery and my £500 deposit would secure one. I went in a couple of weeks ago to update my spec and was told delivery had slipped by 4 weeks to the middle of June. The a 5 month wait was painful enough but 6 months is unbearable. Anyone else had similar experience or is it related to dealer allocations or something? |

Offline | I ordered my Cooper 2 weeks ago. Delivery date on my order form is 28th April and as far as I know this is still est'd delivery date. The spiel about 'Got a spot left end of April' is a sales trick to get your deposit. They said the same thing to me but as I was test-driving a 206cc in the afternoon I left it and said it didn't matter if I missed the spot he had end of April. Went back after my appointment with the 206cc and put the deposit down. Anyway, a Jan-June wait is terrible. What were the reasons for the slippage? |

Offline | They said it was 'just one of those things' and that it might change in my favour - somehow I doubt it! I'm going back to the dealer next week to see if I can get any joy. I think you're probably right and I fell for a sales trick - I'd just had the test drive and was a bit too keen I suppose. If I'd though about I'd have rung other dealers to get aan earlier date......... |

Offline | Hate to add to your misery but... I ordered my Cooper on the 23rd Feb, and official delivery date is April 7th - that's the estimated date, but the dealer is hopeful/confident it will be through before the end of March (he wants it to be anyway, to hit his sales targets). This was one he already had allocated although I had free reign on the specification, so yes dealer allocation is probably the main thing. I did have to pay a £1000 deposit to secure it though. I'm a complete nightmare having to wait six weeks, I can only sympathise for a six month wait . Just keep telling yourself it'll be worth it when it finally arrives.Adam. |

Offline | Yeah I was told by the sales girlie that I'd be first in line if there were any Cooper cancellations but me thinks she says that to all the boys, especially ones who were as hacked off as me! |
