Offline | I ordered my Cooper 5 weeks ago and it was due in three but I still don't have a chassis number. Is threee weeks still realistic or am I going to have to wait longer ? Any thoughts ? The original delivery date was supposed to be on the safe side but I'm now not so sure. |

Offline | My Cooper was ordered at the end of January with an original delivery date (to dealer, they then want 2 -3 days for prep?) of 14th April. I've since been told it's going to be built this week (week 13, starting 24/3) and will be delivered to dealer on 7th April... They (my dealer) are always careful not to promise anything though... I sure the wait will be worth it! IT'S HERE... Cooper PS/B, chili, a/c, ASC&T, CD boost, Trip Comp, MFSW, SS+, 5 spoke 16" run-flats... and a full tank of petrol |

| MINI2 Regular | I ordered my cooper in the middle of Feb and only just got my chassis number last week and a delivery date (Next Sat was expected 10th April) Apparently - so my dealer tells me, cos i was getting impatient - they only know the chassis number when the car has been built and they are awaiting delivery of the car at the dealers. So just think when you do hear something your car will nearly be with you!*March 2003, Mini Cooper, Solid Black, White Roof, White Bonnet Stripes, Red Tartan Kaleido/leather, Chilli Pack, SSP, 6 CD Changer, Cassette Boost Bootiful!! - Now gone But still got the MINI spirit ![]() |

Offline | "Supply and demand" I'm told, each dealer has an alocation and some use theirs much faster than others. I guess I could have looked further afield, but it's not until you find a forum like this that you get the information and discover where you might have gone wrong. 23 days(ish) and counting... IT'S HERE... Cooper PS/B, chili, a/c, ASC&T, CD boost, Trip Comp, MFSW, SS+, 5 spoke 16" run-flats... and a full tank of petrol |

Offline | Thats not too bad then. Three weeks tomorrow. It didn't seem a problem when I first put the order in but this has been the longest wait ever but I'm sure it will be worth it in the end. |

Offline | I put my order in Jan-18th and wanted to wait a) for the new reg and b) till I could muster as much ££ for the initial deposit and agreed a date of april-4th - although the dealer could have suppiled one pretty rapidly if I wanted it (mind you ONE's have less demand). Got "the" phone call saying I can have it next week (friday 28th) if I wanted ... of course I said yes ![]() Hmm.. this doesn't really help you but I am champing at the bit until Friday! ![]() |

Offline | Give her a picture of a mini with the spec sheet of the car you ordered. Although have something else for a backup in case she gets the impression you bought it for yourself (which we know you really did!) |

Offline | Hi to all I ordered mine on the 24th feb and i was given a date of the 25th of April. Suffice to say (like all of you) i am really chomping at the bit now. It feels like its been forever. Whats making things worse is i sold my car privately and therefore i have been without a car for the whole time!! I tell you, if i have to get on another bus i'll........ I know the wait will be worth it though. Happy motoring!! |

Offline | Hi Minielium Fortunately i dont have to get on the Train to work, just the bus. (thank goodness) And yes the waiting is very much getting to me. Where i live, their is a communual parking and their is a BRG cooper with all the toys parked outside my house most days. Its like a constant reminder every morning when i make my walk to the bus stop. Its like someone is trying to rub salt into my motoring wounds! Well you have a lot longer to wait than me so i can tell you it will be the longest time of your life. Sorry to bring this to your attention. Does anyone know how to track a car then? I wasnt told this when bought mine? Is it just a US thing? (i have a Chilli Red Cooper with pepper and Cd Multi changer on order by the way) |

Offline | Same question as npmini. Is the tracking thing only for US deliveries or can we do that over in the UK ? 16 days and counting. Chilli Red Cooper with White roof, 16" 5 stars, Chilli Pack |

Offline | well since my last post i have had some good news. Apparently the factory is ahead of schedule for april and although my delivery date was to be the 25th april it has been brought forward to the 9th!!! 10 days to go!! I dont know is this is typical across the board for all april cars, but those waiting might be encouraged by this news. Cant wait. ![]() |
