Question Am I doing something wrong?

The dealer says that my MCS has been built. However, the Wallenius Wilhelmsen site does not respond to the last 7 characters of my VIN#. How long after the car is finished should the shipping company have information about booking etc. Up till now I haven't been very anxious. Now however, I'm ready to motor!
Thanks
Jeff

Mine was booked a day after it was built, and received at the terminal an hour after it was booked. It was loaded onto the Jingu Maru today, and set sail today. It is expected in New Jersey on the 9th, and then onto the dealer!

Hey Tiga:

I know from my own experience WW's site was about 24 hours slow... hang in there - I'm sure you'll see it pop-up!

A co-worker is havig trouble finding his BMW on the W&W site too, but BMW is sure it was loaded on a ship some time ago. They may be having problems or may have changed what they use for a cargo ID.

To the best of my knowledge everything is still the same - I tracked my MINI through W&W just the other week using the last 7 characters of my VIN. It was a day or two late getting updated, but it was there.

My experience with WW was that they were quicker than 24 hours. Their system actually seemed to update in fairly real time, within 4 to 6 hours at most on receiving and loading my MCS. Now the MINI Owners' Lounge, they were days behind. Not worth looking at, at all for information.

You can use the voyage number in the WW site to look at all cars on a particular bill of lading. I tried cutting and pasting it, but it only worked for me when I typed it in and then searched on it.

You can read the "Who's Sailing on the Carmen 15Feb03" thread for a lot of good information. It got quite long, but still a good read.

Wink Thank you

Thank you one and all for your help. I'm anxious to receive my mini.
