Well, my MINI has finally moved from the "On Order" status to "Scheduled For Production." What does that exactly mean anyway? Is it being built as I type? I know they estimated production on 5.9.03. So does that mean it's going into production early?

Congratulations on moving a step up the ladder.

Scheduled for Production means just that - it's scheduled date is 09May. Mine was built two days earlier than the scheduled date, and made the boat two days later.

When you get to about the 7th or 8th of May, give 866-ASK-MINI a call with your production number or VIN, and they can tell you exactly where it is. Hopefully, through production, and moving to the dock.

With your VIN, you can also tell which boat it is scheduled for.

866-ASK-MINI is the key. The OL is horribly slow and most often out of date.

Also, check out the "Who's sailing on the Carmen 15Feb03" thread in the Delivery forum. A long thread, but has a bunch of good information interspersed with the banter of me and my shipmates.
