Cross Canada Journey

I posted this message on MINI Cooper Online as well.. I just got word from my dealer in Victoria that my MINI left England on June 24th and arrived in Halifax today.
So how long does it take to make it's way across Canada and what mode does it take? Is it by train or truck? Also is there an online tracking system for us Canucks? Getting anxious now Thanks for any info you may have.

Well I guess I'll answer my own question then My Mini landed in Halifax on July 2nd and sat there until Monday July 7th. It boarded a train and is in Perry Sound, Ontario. It arrives in New Westminister BC on July 17th so I should see it a week later here in Victoria. Woohoo! Now the real excitement begins...

Congrats ArqAngel.Btw, how did you find your buying experience at Victoria Mini? That is where I got my launch edition cooper in April 2002.I'am going to order a 2004 'S',but I will probably order it in Vancouver simply because if I'am going to pay msrp, I'am going to buy it from a dealer that is excited about what they are selling.I've been to MINI Richmond and MINI Yaletown,the difference in attitude is amazing,maybe I just meet the wrong saleperson each time,but it seems they could care less and they don't seem to have a lot of knowledge about the car.That said,the parts and service dept. is great.

I have had no issues with my dealings here in Victoria. I went in knowing what I wanted, having done all my research on sites like this. All that remained was a test drive to confirm that it would rock and it did My salesperson was knowledgable and courteous but she didn't have to "sell" me on the car She's kept me up to date on it's whereabouts. Having bought a 2002 Honda Odyssey last year, I was most impressed with the Honda dealer's service so I hope I get at least that from my MINI/BMW dealership.
