Talking The "AUGUST" Production Group

I just thought that since the prior two months had a topic, we should have one too.

My production date is the 29th. HO HUM. I hope that my date will eventually move closer.....to the middle at least would be nice.

Also if anyone knows what this production date actually means, let me know please. I have seen on this site that the date actually means when your car is finished. I asked the dealer and he told me that it is when it begins production. You can probably guess for which one I am hoping.

I have enough troubles overcoming my own limitations without fretting over the fact that God has not seen fit to distribute evenly the gift of intelligence.

I'm in the August group too
Mines a week 32 build w/c 3rd Aug
I'll not take delivery until 1st September though as that's when the registration plates change to the next sequence
At least here in the UK we don't have the agonising wait while the car is shipped over.

MINI, RX8 and MX5 - Done those............. It's now TTime

I finally ordered mine!!

I just ordered mine last night - awaiting my production number so I can start tracking it. Ernest told me that it should be about 70 days, so I'm thinking I'll see it around 1 October in Virginia Beach. Can't wait!!

Did you put a deposit down? If so, you should have your production number no later than today AM. I have heard a lot of people getting the "run-around" about their numbers.

Just thought you should know.....but then again you probably already knew

Good luck and welcome to the forum family.

Mojo - I'm not an August, but I thought I'd answer your question. The production date is the Friday of the week it's supposed to be finished in. My production date was July 18th, but it was finished on the Monday of that week.

Yup, mine's on the Jingu Maru which left Southampton on the 19th. I'm doing much better now that it actually exists. Less than a week and it'll actually be in the right country!

I want some pics when you get your baby. I wonder if it'll need any shots.....hmmmmmm that's one to think about. There seems to be a MINI flu bug going around. I think it's called the yo-yo, stumble, stutter virus.

Hmmmm software problems.......virus.......connection maybe?

Cool

Hey everyone!!

My estimated build date is August 8th. I can't wait. This is my first new car (Only 21yo). Anyway I'm glad to join the August production group. I ordered my MCS with the dealer on May 31st. Happy waiting!!

Before you all get your hopes up, be careful. My MC was also due to be completed July 18, but finished Monday July 14th. It's July 22 and it's still at the factory waiting to get on the train to the docks.

It didn't get on the boat the majority of the July Production group got on, heck it hasn't even left the friggen factory. Is that torture? Heck yeah! I feel like the kid that missed the class field trip cause he went to the bathroom!

I did put down a deposit, but haven't gotten the production number yet, though I haven't checked all my voice mail and e-mail. Supposedly mine won't be built until the second week of August. I'm going to enjoy tracking it, and my coworkers are already asking about rides in it!

Mine isn't due to be built until the 29th of August and I had my number before I walked out of the dealership. I hope they aren't trying to pull a fast one.

I have the number now, but the specifics of mine haven't posted yet. My dealer says my MINI should be in the system by Friday.

Yeah, it took a couple of days for my info to post as well. I was timid about the whole ordeal....until my specs showed up. I was extremely happy about that.....now I am back to being anxious about getting the car. Gonna be a long 2 months.
