Offline | TH delivery Well - I got online after the blackout here in Detroit. I got very excited reading some Mini 2 posts from guys who ordered their mini's from Chicago. TH people. The posts read something about possibly getting their cars by Mon or Wed. of next week. Well since I ordered my car from Classic Mini near Clevland, I just figured that my car would be in sooner than those who ordered from Chicago (considering that we are hundreds of miles closer to where TH docked). Anyways, I just got of the phone with Classic Mini and my guy said that the car would possibly be there by the end of the month or early September. He also said that he had the most up to date info. Very suprised. I was sort of guaging myself on the EDD date of 8/20. Very frustrating. Could he be wrong? He acted as if my car was ahead of schedule and I should be happy it was arriving so soon. Whatever - I am tempted to go buy a 350z on Mon. Should I? Last edited by j_scoppa : Aug 16th, 2003 at 07:24 PM. |

Offline | Well, since the blackout hit the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey pretty hard, too, I'd imagine there are hold ups because of that. Our dealer gave us a pretty conservative estimate about when our MINI would arrive & it came in sooner than he thought. I think until it actually gets released from the distribution center, they don't know when it's going to get there. Trust me, the wait it totally worth it! The end of the month isn't all that far away. :white: Jasper is home!!!! :white: |

Offline | The guy I talked to at 866ASKMINI gave me the impression that when the vehicle is released from the VDC it goes to the transport company and not necessarily right onto a transport truck headed to your dealer. My car was released Thursday, I got the impression it was put on a truck Friday and should be at the dealer in Chicago by Monday. MINIUSA has actually moved my EDD from 8/21 to 8/19. That arrival is also what my MA said. It's not going to do me any good, however, as I'm too busy to get to Chicago Tue or Wed. I'm still trying to come up with a way to do it, though. Maybe fly over Mon night and haul ass home on Tue . . . ? Hopefully yours will get in sooner than expected, too. |
