Offline | Ontheroadagain: It will be a company car, and the lease companies here in Holland don't assign new cars after half oktober, because then the resell value will be less, at the end of 4 years the car will be a year older if assigned in december than when they assign it in January. My current cars contract ends beginning of december but even so I have to keep it until 2004.. Soo that's te problem.. Will go visiting the MINI on weekends though!! |

Offline | Lucebel, it's going to be a company car?! That's quite impressive - that your company would be so forward thinking in its car choice, but then again I'm speaking as an American and over hear I'd be extremely surprised if any company chose any car even slightly as exciting as a MINI for their fleets. Sad, but true. Good for you Lucebel! At this time of year, time can pass pretty quickly. You'll be driving it before you know it. ![]() |

Offline | Actually it's not the companies choice.. The employee can choose individually which car they want, colour, extra's etcetera. We get a certain amout of money for which we can lease a car, but the choice of car is up to us. If you go over budget you'd have to pay extra but other that that we're free! ![]() |

Offline | Hey, hey! Just signed up with Mini2. I ordered a Cooper S at the beginning of October. It should be built in November and arrive in Australia in January. My dealer originally said the beginning of January but I'm getting the impression it will be towards the end and maybe even slip in February. Is there anybody else out there living in Australia scheduled for a November build? |

Offline | I know you all are anxious to hear the status of my DS/B MCS. After a week of being scheduled for production, today it was listed as being in the paint shop. Therefore, it will probably be done early to mid next week. Unfortunately, the there are 2 ships sailing on Tue & Wed (11 & 12 Nov), and I doubt I will make it aboard either of those ships. The next shipment date is 1 week later, so it looks like I will be on the Aida or the Undine. It's getting closer! |

Offline | I had to call - the OL doesn't have quite so much detail. I checked yesterday as well and the status was still "Production Started" (status 150) and today it was "Paint shop started" (status 152). I never did get a status 151 "Body Shop Started" - I'm not sure if that is because ASK-MINI doesn't get updated very often or if that production step is so quick it happens in less than 24 hrs. |

Offline | I ordered my MCS DS/B on 9/20, and as of this morning it's "Awaiting transport"!! Problem is, I went to WW Cargo Tracking and punched in the 17-digit VIN as the cargo ID, and it came up as RECEIVED AT TERMINAL and READY TO SCAN AT TERMINAL on 7/11/03, and BOOKED on 10/10/03 !?!? Anybody seen this happen before? I'm guessing it's a shipping company data entry error on the earlier car. (I've pretty much ruled out temporal distortion caused by solar flares.) |

Offline | Congratulations on your MCS... I'm in the same boat... waiting for my MC... and I believe the reason those dates look so strange is because the WW site lists dates the European way... day first, then month and year. So your MINI was received at the terminal on 7/11/03 -- November 7th... and you're good to go. What ship are you on? |

| Whatev. | Another Aussie November build here Majestic - The dealer told me end of January/early February when I ordered my S. I dropped in there a couple of weeks back and all I could confirm at the time was a production code and week 49. The bozo I talked to told me that I might have it in December which I took to be a load of crap if the car is being built at the end of the month. (Told him as much - don't go getting peoples hopes up like that!) Will probably give them a call this week, will keep you posted. ![]() |

Offline | Yes, thanks, courtinnyc. I had forgotten that they transpose the day/month (or is it "we"?) It seems that the Owner's Lounge and ASK-MINI are a step behind, since I was told on 11/8 that the car was still waiting for transport to the port. The ship is the Madame Butterfly; hope there's a minimum of operatic drama on the voyage. |

Offline | well, my MCS didn't make it onto the Tancred, which is a little disappointing. Especially since the next ship isn't coming for another week! Hopefully it won't be waitlisted by the time the next ship comes into port. Anyone else waiting for a West coast-bound ship? '04 EB/W MCS, AC, H/K stereo, Lapis/Black leather...arrived Dec. 26!! |
