Is there a general time frame, like an amount of time after ordering or a certain amount of time before it hits production week? My MINI status is On Order, but i have an Estimated Production Date of Nov 7. Just wondering when my status will change to Scheduled For Production.

My MCS was ordered on Sept 18th and is scheduled for production in week 49 1st december, dont know if that helps. Could do with an online order tracking just a Miniusa

so Pobsey, how long did it take you from the time you ordered to get "scheduled for production" status?

went back to the dealer not last weekend but the one before 1st oct to alter my spec and thats when the salesman said it was scheduled for production, so to answer your question within two weeks of ordering.

On average a confirmed order takes about 10 - 12 weeks, so an order placed last week could be off the line and in transit (but its spec and country dependent) like this .
Order confirmed 11 October, Delivery UK dealer week 1 2004, can be shorter, or longer but not much. Sdd in shipping time to USA, and internal transport, I'd say 16 to 20 weeks max.

Addition, scheduled for production is a firm order recieved at the factory, the car can move about to accomodate parts shortages or whatever, but the time from your order being confirmed means its scheduled into a build plan.

ahhh...ok cool.
right now my status is "On Order" but if you reviewn the details of the order it says 'estimated production date 11/7'.
That would be cool, but since you ordered a week before me, maybe not. Unless your dealer allocation was more booked than mine. I guess we'll see. Thanks!

generally speaking the MINIUSA owner's lounge will change you from 'on order' to 'scheduled for production' roughly two to four weeks before it enters production.

Ordered mine on october 4, production scheduled for week 45. The dealer put the order in right away because according to him then I could just make the november build. Estimated delivery is week 48.
(that's in Holland of course, but since the car is built in England it should be about the same.)

Yet I will have to wait untill january before I can actually play with it, since I have to finish my current car's contract. bah..!
I'll be spending my weekends at the dealer I guess.
