do you learn about where to track it once it is no longer waiting for transport? do they tell you what shipper?

Mine is currently awaiting transport.

A busy month makes time fly, my only problem is that I am still busy, I hope to be free enough to get the MINI on the day I am first allowed.

Hi. My Cooper is due to be completed by this Friday but the automated response line at Ask Mini doesn't give any details about where it is in the process. For those of you who have posted that you knew your cars were in the body shop or paint shop - - did you have to talk to a customer service advisor to get find those specifics, or does the automated line give that?

Until today, I had to talk to a person at ASK MINI to get any additional information. But today the automated system told me (two days late) that my car is in the paint shop. Should be done tomorrow!

God, I wish we had that system in Australia!

well, I talked to the dealer today, I was hoping for Wednesday, but it will most likely be next week for me to get the MINI. Whats another week? *sigh* lol

Hello everybody, i got a call from my dealer this afternoon. My Mini has just arrived, i went straight down to the garage and took some pictures (in my gallery). Only a few more days to wait now!!!!!!

Nope, still nada. MINI USA guy told me it wouldn't show up there until it gets to Southampton, but I know that's not always true. He also said it'd probably be a week before my MINI makes the trek to the port; hopefully he was just being conservative. We'll see.

That's from start of build. Your dealer should be able to tell you your production number and build week, so you'll know when it's supposed to get built and can track it in the Owners Lounge and 1-866-ASK-MINI.

I have production number and build week, but we dont have an Owners Lounge or anything like that in Australia? As far as I know anyway?

Very possible. I believe the Owners Lounge is just MINIUSA. 866-ASK-MINI may be more broad based though, and I found them (with one notable exception) to be extremely friendly and helpful. To the point of one of the operators asking me what color I picked and what other specs I had decided on.

Don't expect that kind of enthusiasm from a help desk.
